"Der Hofwirt ist ein aussergewoehnliches Hotel mit sehr schoenen, grossen Zimmern. Alles wurde mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das Personal besticht durch seine Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit, so dass man sich ab der ersten Minute wie zu Hause fuehlt. Nicht verpassen darf man das Restaurant, mit tollen regionalen Produkten. Der Grillabend war definitiv mein Favorit. In den Hofwirt werde ich jederzeit sehr gerne wieder einkehren. Mit oder ohne Uebernachtung."

September 2016 Sackwiesenalm, Hochschwab, Steiermark land, Austria Sackwiesenalm is a picturesque mountain meadow just under the main range of Hochschwab mountain range. It is located in altitude of 1.458 meters. Its name probably refers to the fact that is is a moist meadow or a small moorland. It is few hours hike southwest from the Schiestlhaus and totally worth due to the variable countryside (barren limestone plateau with grassy meadows, green scrub pine forrests, classical mountain forrests) and near Sackwiesensee offering a natural swimming opportunity.
