"This was our "treat yourself" hotel and our expectations were higher in terms of the room itself. The "garden view" rooms are not really views of a garden, but rather a cement wall and rooftops with a couple trees planted. That said, the view of the mountains afar was pretty. The room was also far smaller than I expected for the price. We stayed in a lot of hotels during our trip and every room in 3/4 star hotels was larger and more comfortable. It just didn't feel worth the price in terms of...

"I had heard so many great things about Luang Prabang, I wanted to check it out. My stay at the Pha Nya Residence was outstanding. Check in was easy, the staff was so very friendly, and the location was great. The breakfast was also very good - try the Northern Lao soup. It was great and I had it every day."

"Wat een parel in het centrum van Luang Prabang! Een in een mooie oude stijl opgetrokken hotel met meerdere gebouwen, niet te massaal, een mooie tuin en een fijn zwembad met bar. Dagelijks een heerlijk ontbijt naar keuze, geserveerd door supervriendelijk personeel. Altijd met een grote glimlach bereid te helpen. Absolute aanrader voor een authentiek Laos hotel!"

"Very disappointed - just a mattress on the floor of a dirty room, does not match the photos. We booked a private double/twin room but it didn't look like the photos. The staff were friendly and helpful but the rooms were dirty and there wasn't a bed but just a mattress on the floor... (See our photo on Google maps). This wasn't even cheap as it was more expensive than beautiful 3 star accommodation on the same road.
We left without staying. Only positive was that the lady looks after the...

"The hotel itself is ckean and the staff are friendly and informative. We had booked a double and got two single beds (although this seems to be the norm in Laos from my experience). The toilet seemed to be blocked along the line a bit (I suspect soneone throw toilet paper down) so a few times we had to find a plunger.
Aircon struggled in the heat, but the room had strong ceiling fans. I also like the seperate shower and toilet.
I'm not sure the pools PH leveks are checked, as after a short swim...

"Nice small guesthouse, clean rooms, but old. Breakfast ok, bread I guess is local. First time in Laos so I dont know what to expect. Great room for a nice price. Service and personell was very nice and acommodating."

"The hotel itself was great. The included airport pickup was terrible - I expected a taxi or mini van, but got the most decrepit tuk tuk imaginable. It was ancient and kept stalling on the way. I insisted on sitting in the cab, the air conditioning did not work."

"Best part of the trip is May in the restaurant, Kong in the boat trip in the river. Everyone is so kind and this is a very nice and convenient hotel in the e middle of everything. Will return!"
"If you want to stay in the heart of Luang Prabang, Indigo House couldn’t be a better choice! The night market begins at the foot of the hotel and is perfectly situated next to both the shopping and food stalls of the night market. Rooms facing the market are noisy until 10 PM when the market shuts down and then it is extremely peaceful. The staff is amazing and the food available in the cafe is incredible. The rooms are somewhat dated but very comfortable and clean. "
"The resort was beautiful! The rooms were very spacious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating for every need. I would highly recommend this resort!"
"I gave this hotel 5 stars, mainly because the woman who managed the place. I booked this on hotels.com, and there are many amenities listed that do not exist. There is no bar, even though there is a menu in the room advertising beer for sale. I also saw no bikes for use, and the airport transportation was the manager arranging a taxi for you. That being said, the room was good, and the ac was nice. The breakfast was delicious. The location was great! The morning market was right out the gate, and the night market was right down the street. The manager saved us lots of money by arranging transportation and alternatives to the tours to see some of the sites. They also had inexpensive laundry service."
"Really like the place, the staff is super helpful. Breakfast is basic but good enough. The area is located right in the centre of the city. There are multiple options to go for lunch or dinner. I really like to stay."
