Ryokans in Toyokawa

"Walk uphill at end of day after sailing was a grind. Self imposed as the hotel offered shuttles at various times. Could not have been more helpful but you have to be prepared for very Japanese experience. Try the restaurant in the hotel. Not well advertised but very attentive waiter. "

"The staff were very polite and courteous, but the facilities were old and out-dated, and we could easily hear the party that was next door to ours. They could use new bedding. The bed was hard, and the futon very thin. It was like sleeping on a rock. It was over-priced, too. Sorry, it wasn't good value for the money."

"Great dinner and breakfast. Enomous amount of food, including steak, lobster, fish, pork, rice, soup, dessert. Roof top onsen has a great view. The hotel is also walk distance to a famous sunset viewing spot. The room is a little bit old but clean and nice."

"Beautiful views over the Pacific Ocean in the open air onsen, would definitely recommend for that alone. Easily accessible by train from Nagoya city centre, however the train station has one bus (and no taxi stand) to the resort every couple of hours so organise ahead. For foreign tourists; the staff speak little English but try to be helpful!"

"This was by far my favorite place in all of Japan. The hotel is lovely and located near the ocean. Our view was absolutely stunning. The staff was warm and accommodating (even helped us order a pizza!!). The Futon mats were memory foam and more comfortable than most western beds. The tatami mats and the paper walls that separated the sitting area from the sleeping area created an authentic Japanese vibe. The fee was affordable, but the quality was luxury!!"

"夫婦＋小さい子供2人の4人での宿泊でしたが、夜、朝ご飯共に子供にも配慮してくださった食事を提供いただいたり、時間の変更にも対応してくださったり、とても気持ちよく過ごせました。5歳の子も楽しんでくれたようで、次はもう少し早く来ようねと、再訪をを希望しておりました。 建物は確かに古いですが、それが温泉旅館、的なところもありますし、水回りもそこまで気になりませんでした。時間の関係で今回は露天風呂に入らなかったので、次はそちらも楽しめたら良いなと思いました。 ありがとうございました。"

"目の前がビーチでサンセットがキレイに見えました。朝は部屋から日の出を見ることができました。部屋の展望風呂は気持ちよく景色も素敵でした。食事はこれでもかというくらい地元の魚介が沢山あり、美味しくいただきました。 ホテルの人ととても親切でした。違うシーズンにまた行きたいです。日間賀島、いいです。"

"The service was excellent. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay a positive experience. The only reason for putting 4 stars is that the bathroom in our room had a strong ammonia smell. Also, as a heads up, I went with my elderly mother and the building had steep stairs to get to the bath and dining, and the room was not exactly barrier free and we tripped over a couple of times (We didn't think much of it at the time of booking, so it's our fault) Otherwise, it was a great!"

"This is a hidden gem that I literally stumbled upon. This area is famous for agriculture so the food was sourced locally and amazing. The staff is international so even if you don't speak much Japanese you will be fine. It is peaceful and fun to walk around the area. We even met a young tomato and melon farmer who showed us his greenhouse. It was like staying in a ancient Japanese palace in a very local village. The price was so worth it and the cafe and various places to use my PC made this...

"愛知県の自然に囲まれた素敵なお宿でした。愛知県在住ですが、なかなか県内旅行の機会はありませんでした。今回コロナで県外への行動制限により、このような発見ができてよかったです。古い建物ですので最新の設備ではありませんが、清潔で快適に過ごすことができました。(自然の中ですので虫は仕方がないと思います。) お食事も地産地消で楽しめました。忘れ物をしてしまいましたが、丁寧な梱包で迅速に対応して頂けました。"

"客室でたばこが吸えないのがきつかったです。お客様が外国人だった為、いちいち部屋を出て喫煙場へ案内しなければならなかったです。 喫煙可の部屋設定も必要かと思いました。"

"古い建物なので多少はしょうがないと思いますが漏水箇所の未復旧など散見しました また客室はカビ臭が酷くなかなか寝ることが出来なかったです 温泉は良いのですが椅子や桶が清潔とは言い難かったですね！ せっかく良い温泉があるので清掃の徹底と見える箇所の不具合復旧などを行えばまた利用したくなりますね！ "
