We visited the end of March. Weather was perfect. Very peaceful and neat area. Lying in the hammock listening to the river made it very relaxing. It is conveniently located to Cades Cove and Smokey mountains.
We were on the run a lot but found the stay comfortable for our needs.

Wonderful place!!
We loved this place so much!! It was absolute beautiful and very clean! We loved walking through the creek and even seen some big fish! We can’t wait to come back!
Awesome place for 2 people beautiful cabin amazing decorations Not secluded but quiet and peaceful Beautiful river views yet still right in Townsend would definitely stay again
It's close to the smoky mountains and on the river. The place was clean. Feels more like a motel than a separate house, it's fine, but you'll have to share the outside space with other people.

The cabin was beautiful with everything I could possibly need in it. Loved the location by the River - it was wonderful cooling my legs off in it after my race.
Would definitely come back here again.
We were absolutely thrilled with the location of the property as it is conveniently located right by the national park and numerous other attractions. The property itself was really beautiful and well-maintained. Having a little deli and pub on site was incredibly convenient. Check in process was very simple and everything was exactly as expected.
Beautiful and tranquil place right on the river.
Rental was exactly as described. There is no television, so this is a perfect way to completely unplug when not exploring the Great Smokey Mountains.
The property is located in a beautiful location right on the Little River. The cabin was charming and in excellent condition. The property manager was prompt to respond and very kind. We had no issues at all during our stay. I would definitely go back if I am ever in the area again!
This was my family's second time staying at this property. We enjoy being able to get right into the water and play. There's lots of areas to sit outside and relax. Everything you need for your vacation. Just bring your food.
We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful property right on the river in Townsend. It was a great location for entrance into the park. The building is historic but renovated nicely and plenty comfortable. If you are a light sleeper I recommend a white noise app because the noise does carry between rooms. We were so happy to stay here on the peaceful side of the Smokies and not in the busy/crazy towns!
Breathtaking property on the edge of the little pigeon River. Room was immaculate and clean. Hottest shower I've ever experienced! Host (Wendy) is very nice and attentive. Highly recommended.

The area and location is beautiful! Wendy was super nice and helpful. The only reason I didn’t give this a 5 star is because me and my mom barely got sleep, we were in a room downstairs and heard the people above us all night long- walking around and talking, amongst other things.
This property was exactly as described. The setting is beautiful-couldn’t ask for anything more peaceful. Especially the stream outside the apartment with plenty of seating options. We spent so much time outside-on the porch, sitting next to the running river or even in the river. As mentioned the walls were thin and you could hear other guests. The kitchen is small but well appointed. My favorite part was getting to know Wendy!! She was such a gracious hostess-quick to respond and so helpful with ideas and suggestions! I spent 2 weeks in this slice of heaven and I hope to return again soon!!
The property and check in and out process was great. The cleanliness of the window treatment needs much attention. That is why i gave 3 stars on cleanliness. There needs to be more toilet paper left in the cabin. The fire pit does not emit heat. It is a solostove. Other than that, it was a great stay. Thank you soo much.
Super cozy and charismatic property. Beautiful riverside set up. Easy access, smooth process, clean & comfortable! "Quiet time" is much earlier than most places and the walls are pretty thin. It was advised at check in that there was need for care on sound, but it was more than expected. Our neighbors could hear us talking when we thought we were speaking in our room low enough, and we could hear someone snoring throughout the night from an adjacent room both nights. Sharing this not as major detriment to the stay, but something for consideration.
Overall it was a nice trip and a decent place to stay. Keeping me from rating it excellent: no TV, owner control of heat/AC, thin walls/ceiling and offsite laundry. Otherwise a great location … 10-60-minute drive to explore the areas we were wanting to- Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg & Knoxville. If I had realized no TV in the rental, we could have brought a tablet so we could watch a movie together after hiking and adventuring all day as we did have internet. Walls were very thin… could hear other folks getting up in the night to go to the bathroom. Sprinkling/light rain drips through the night. River could also be heard and that was lovely. Overall a nice stay, just not rustic enough (single unit cabin) or too rustic for an apartment/hotel situation. We didn’t try the onsite pub, but their menu looks pretty good and the owner said they offer renters a discount. Water was hot and didn’t run out on back to back showers.
This place is called strawberry patch inn. Which isn’t named anywhere on Vrbo to be able to look up reviews.
Very nice property BUT we came in for a big event so there was only one person handling check in at time of arrival
Quiet time rules which is no biggie BUT being in room 7, you can hear EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. From conversations, laughing, walking and even more stuff during quiet times. I had to use the blow dryer to cut out sounds I didn’t want to hear.
Also, the room temperature is not controllable in the room. You have to contact the property manager to adjust the temp.
Bring blankets bc only 1 is on the bed and nothing extra
We were only provided 4 towels for 2 adults staying 3 nights.
Beautiful scenery but some money needs to be put back into the property to sound proof it.

Mixed Bag- Great Property, Poor Mgt
Great property. The cabin is rustic and charming and has a wonderful location right on the river. The home is lacking some basic necessities though. No digital thermostat, No TV.....Both were inconveniences. The home was clean and as described for the most part.
The management left plenty to be desired. We arrived and were locked out. Apparently the owner insists that you check in 48 hours prior to arrival in order to get the code. As a guest, I don't want to study the mice type of the check in process. The check in process should be simple and clear....and I've never heard of having to check in 48 hours prior....this is totally unacceptable. The check in instructions (including door code) should have been emailed to guest prior to arrival. I had to call owner to get code and she proceeds to keep me on the phone for 20 minutes fumbling around trying to get the code and then INSISTS that I do a detailed tour of the home with her on the phone so she can talk me through every operating feature in the home. When I told I wasn't going to do that because we were tired from driving and just wanted to check in our home, she got a huge attitude and started reprimanding me for not checking in 2 days ago. A completely tone-deaf manager ,who has unreasonable expectations, micro-manages. and is not utilizing basic technology like all of the other homes to communicate efficiently with guests.
Overall- Good Stay but can be improved with some easy changes to management. .
