Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge Cabin - Suite A
An airy cabin with high ceilings and lots of windows surrounded front and back by the Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge. A photographer's dream. See the native waterfowl, or the hundreds of migrating birds of the Eastern Flyway. Alligators, a large colony of endangered Wood Storks, Roseate Spoonbills, Painted Buntings, Bald Eagles, Ospreys, deer, turkeys. A perfect place to cool off and catch a nap between morning and evening photo sessions. Only ten minutes from I-95, Exit 67. Literally one minute from the public saltwater ramp, then 15 minutes boat ride to the Intracoastal Waterway, Blackbeard, St. Catherine's and Sapelo Islands, Atlantic Ocean and beaches. See dolphins every boating trip. Great fishing for flounder, trout, redfish, head offshore for the big stuff....King and Spanish Mackeral, Grouper, Barracuda. Private bedroom, Queen size bed, plus a big common room with fold out sofa, dinette table, kitchen with full size fridge, sink, microwave, large toaster oven, coffee maker and dishwasher. Please note: while a convection oven and microwave are included, there is no full size oven or stovetop. The large screened in back porch (only) is shared with the other Suite. The Georgia coast is one of the most pristine natural areas on earth. Come see it for yourself ! (For some reason, some booking sites (Expedia, for one) describes this duplex unit as "Adult Only." This is not correct. Children are welcome, and children may occupy the separate rental space next door.) This is a completely private side of a duplex building, sharing only the rear porch. Please note pets are welcome, but NOT ON OUR BEDS, BEDDING OR FURNITURE, and with a $ 15. pet fee left as a tip for our cleaner !!

The property was basically across the street from the Wildlife area. Wonderful photography opportunities. We had a wonderful time and would come back here again.
Excellent accommodations for a couple. Clean, neat, and well decorated. New kitchen, but remind guest that there is no oven or range for cooking. Definitely recommend this host.

This was the second time we stayed here and it was wonderful! Peaceful, clean. Great for our dogs to hang out in porch area. Will return👍
Nice and quiet. Enjoyed the location and the refuge.just needs address number on fence gps will take you past it numbers on mailbox not close to actual address. A quick call to host and all was good.
My uncle turned 75 yesterday & this place is walking distance tohis home. The place was perfect for my stepmother & me. I slept on the sleeper sofa. I discovered it was pretty comfortable when you put all the sofa cushions & throw pillows under the mattress. Very nature friendly.
We so enjoyed our stay at the Harris Neck Cabin. We were traveling with my sister and her husband and they had one side of the duplex and we had the other. The Wildlife Preserve was amazing and basically right across the street. Spending time there was a chance to refresh and renew. The location was also close enough to family in the area that we had no problem getting there either. Beautiful area!
Duplex was as described. Had it been a bit warmer we would have really enjoyed the screened porch. Bed was comfy. Shower had plenty of hot water. Very close to Harris Neck Refuge.. we did the drive through. Was a good midway point for us. Convenient to I-95.
My husband and I had a great time staying near Harris Neck. This home had exactly what we needed for a nice visit to the refuge. It was a quiet area, nice large backyard, and comfortable and clean. Plan ahead - there is no stove or oven! We did use the electric burner and the toaster oven, so meals worked out okay. There are no nearby stores or restaurants. As long as you plan ahead, all the other amenities are great! The refuge was well worth the trip!

Overall review
I am generally happy with places when I go on vacation. I had an extremely hard time finding this place. GPS indicated it was down at the end of the road and turn right onto the split. The address couldn't be seen on the mailbox or house. I suggest stating that it is islolated, and a concrete building at the end of Harris Neck Rd. to help find it. The furniture and towels need replacing (towels smell a bit like mildew), but the bed is comfy. It would also be helpful to list that it is 20 minutes away from a grocery store so folks can stop on the way in for food and essentials. The manager was great and called me back quickly.
We had a great time. The house is easily accessible, very clean and communication with the host was quick and easy. We would absolutely consider staying here again. Have the refuge just across the street was amazing. We saw tons of wildlife.
