This was an adorable little cabin. It is in the perfect location for hiking and enjoying nature. We enjoyed our stay and plan on bringing our young grandkids here.
The cabin was a perfect location for activities we wanted to do in the area. We hiked in the Hoosier National forest, rented a boat on Lake Monroe and enjoyed dining in Bloomington. Perfect family get away spot!

We enjoyed this clean, cozy cabin with easy access to walking trails and a short drive to Bloomington. I would love to have had more time to enjoy the games, hammock, fire pit etc. - a terrific getaway.
Wish we could’ve stayed longer! This cabin was perfect for my family of 3. Our 3 year old loved being there! It’s not far off of the main road but it has a great view in the back from the amazing covered patio. It’s so close to Lake Monroe and even Bloomington without feeling like it. The scenery all around is incredible! We would definitely come back!
This is not fancy but has absolutely everything you need for comfort. We enjoyed gorgeous hikes in single digit weather (we are hardy, lol) and then a fun game night. We even watched a movie. This is hands down one of our favorite places to go.
We were thrilled when this super clean and adorable cabin was available for our trip. We stayed here in 2020 and loved it. Beds were comfortable, kitchen stocked with everything we needed, very private and backs up to the Hoosier National Forest. Only 25 minutes to where we went in Bloomington. We will always try and book this lovely cabin when we are in the area. Property manager was very quick to respond to questions.
We arrived shortly after the check in time. The cabin was clean. The kitchen was well equipped. TV and wifi functioned well. We were located close to hiking trails around Monroe Lake and Bloomington restaurants and businesses. Our only issue was due to the dry weather, the gravel roads running past the cabin created a dust issue whenever vehicles drove by.
Cabin was perfect for our family of three! Particularly loved the outdoor space. Our 3.5 year old never wanted to come inside. Lots of activities (chalk, puzzles, games, etc.) provided. Location to trails was amazing! Just outside your doorstep. Couldn’t get closer to the National Forest if you tried. Definitely recommend.
it goes without saying that visiting this little cabin is going to be a yearly thing from now on! it's perfectly quaint, clean, and quiet, both inside and out. the backyard gives you ample space to cook, hang out, have a small fire, string up a hammock, really anything your outdoorsy heart desires. plus given that you're in bloomington, you're just a stones throw from finding crystal geodes and fossils yourself - and if you're extra lucky, maybe the host knows a neat spot to find some all your own! communication with her was perfect and quick on her part and the place exactly as described, i'd highly suggest a trip here :-)
Cozy. This place has all the amenities you could want. We didn't want to leave. The host communicates very well. Plenty of parking. Hiking and horse trails up the road. We hiked about 2.5 miles (5-6mi total) to Patton's cave from the Horse Camp.
Cons:
Internet signal was a little lacking.
There is a swinging gate that needs unlocked and shut to park around the property. We eventually parked our one vehicle outside of the gate due to the inconvenience.
