"Had a wonderful annual holiday with friends. If we weren’t hoping to add another couple next year we would book same again but we need a second shower with more people. The house is spacious and homey and kitchen had everything we needed to cook fish all week. Docks are well maintained and porch and fire pit area were well- enjoyed. We even took the kayak and paddle board for a spin. It was really hard to leave!"

"We felt like we are living in the middle of a lush and beautiful forest.We loved canoeing in the lake and bay, and we’re delighted to see and hear Trumpeter Swans, loons, beavers, and barred owls. The cabin was cozy and we appreciated the full kitchen. Gary was accommodating in every way."

"The cabin is situated with no other cabins in view. Beautifully decorated Minnesota Cabin thats extremely functional. The boat was perfect for this lake even with high winds you can easily get around. The wildlife on the island made the trip. We cant wait to come back."

"My 2 teen age grandsons (14 & 17) made our 2nd annual grouse hunting trip to Northern MN. Despite rainy conditions, they had a great time, bringing 8 ruffed grouse back to Blaine, MN to share with family! Yum! Cabin was just as listed in VRBO—older but clean, comfortable beds, nice appliances. Owners pleasant and helpful. Thank you!"

"This is a nice place to stay on the lake, you must be able to walk up and down stairs. Two bathrooms would be great but we made by with the one. The water is excellent! Hot,clean,no smells at all!! The beds are comfortable and clean. The front and back yard needed spring cleaning and our group of guys would be glad to clean up the property outside for 2 nights stay next spring. Contact me if interested, you wont be disappointed."

"This was the worst VRBO experience I have ever had. The day of my stay I had to message for directions to the cabin. Directions were not sufficient and I had no cell service. I ended up paddling to the cabin (to the “left of the dock” as I was told). It was raining and I couldn’t find the key that was supposed to be under the steps of the deck. I had no cell service and disk was approaching so I had to drive back to town and call. The host didn’t respond to my messages. I called VRBO and they...

"This was our second summer trip to Wildnerness Wind because we were drawn back to our host Jay and his property for the awesome fishing, kayaking and ease of stay. The cabins on Lake Armstrong have all the amenities you would need on short notice. Definitely need bugspray, but as expected for an "up north summer vacation spot." We had a lovely time with family and the YURT was a great space to hangout and relax. Our younger aged kids (5-13) loved just hanging out in there playing games to break...

We loved the open layout to stay connected while preparing or eating meals and for playing games or relaxing at night. We enjoyed lunches on the deck, time around the campfire, daily trips to the sauna, and kayak trips on the lake. Great place to make new memories!"
