I used this as the base for the Torshavn Marathon so being close to the start was the critical requirement for me. The 62N Guesthouse was perfect. Rooms maybe a little basic but it is a Guesthouse, however, the breakfasts were excellent and everything was walkable so a great base to explore the capital city. No real parking at the hotel but plenty near by that allowed us to park the hire car so we could explore the wider islands.

Let me check in - as scheduled - when there was NO hot water available in the hotel. No mention made at check in. Hot water was out for at least three days (2 of whick affected me). When I asked that my room be cleaned, the morning desk attendant agreed, the afternoon desk attendant told me they didn't clean Guest House rooms. When I pointed out that the printed room instructions said they would clean the room on request, the afternoon attendant came and looked at the room and then promptly cleaned the room. The bathroom floor was extremely slippy when wet, and I slipped. I caught myself falling, scraped my arm (drew some blood), and it was the bloodly towels that I wanted cleaned up. No chance I would ever even consider this place to stay again.

The 62N guesthouse is clean but functional. My window wouldn't close properly so I could hear all the delivery drivers, and kids drinking late night, and not block out the sounds. But the bed was ok, and the shower hot. All very basic, but cheap (for the Faroes...) and functional.

Avoid guesthouse, book the hotel. Not the same.

Guesthouse is an old hostel, i felt tricked. Old thin walls, squeaky floors and moldy bathrooms. I asked to be moved out of the guesthouse to the proper hotel and it was 5 out of 5 but I had to pay the difference of course.

Works fine... but extremely noisy... 1st and 2nd night... neighbors were loudly amd rude... from 1 ro 3am ... Did NOT stop even when requested to keep quiet... so BEWARE.... following day, management spoke to individual... But offered nothing in compensation after 2 sleepless noghts?
