About this property

Beautiful Tiny Cabin Nestled in the Nantahala National Forest at Lake Nantahala

  • This unique tiny cabin, nestled in the Nantahala National Forest, is located right off the shores of beautiful Lake Nantahala. Although small, this cabin offers all the comforts of home. Each cabin on the property has a queen-sized bed that can sleep two adults plus a futon upstairs and a plush, comfy sofa downstairs. Our cabins also have a full bathroom with shower, kitchenette with a coffee maker, stove top, mini fridge, and microwave, outdoor seating, gas barbecue, and a fire pit.

Along with your comfy cabin experience, the area surrounding Wayah Ridge Escapes is a prime destination for outdoor enthusiasts. With the Nantahala River and Lake Nantahala nearby, adventure is at your doorstep with access to boating, fishing, jet skiing, hiking, white-water rafting, and more.

Although we love to fire up the grill with some BBQ fixins, our favourite eatery is just a mile down the road from the cabins at Lake's End; we have a particular fondness for the unique dish they've created with fried green tomatoes. They're open throughout the peak season from April - November and they stay packed because the food is consistently good.

We love the peace and serenity of our mountain hideaway in the forest where you can disconnect from it all. However, Nantahala offers a multitude of activity for the adventurous at heart. Catch a Lamborghini car club roar through Wayah Road, lounge at Lake's End to boat watch, or take a guided, scenic UTV tour through the forest to find majestic views unreachable by car; there's so much to do while you always have the option to do nothing but relax, rest, and restore.

Bonus family favourite for us: Misty, mountain mornings with a freshly brewed cup of coffee on the deck. Ahh, we can hear the birds chirping now in the crisp, clean morning air.

Love this Wayah Ridge location on Nantahala lake! Picturesque drive near the lake and down by the river with lookout spots, great for pictures! We caught a glimpse of wedding photos in progress Super warm and cozy cabin with impeccable details for a luxury tiny home on the mountain in under the trees The loft space felt large and homey with a couch sitting area, too! Comfortable bed with good pillows! I loved the soft velvet bedspread The living area couch/chaise a good place to watch tv on the couch/chaise, with an electric fireplace, too. The kitchenette was perfect for simple stovetop meals. Outside grill available and even a grill over fire pit, tho we didn't need it on this trip. Restaurant on the lake has excellent food and a view of the lake from patio deck seating but a bit too cold on chilly evening. Easy 30 min drive to the Nantahala Outdoor Center near Bryson City!! We had a blast white water rafting on the Nantahala River. Very knowledgeable rafting guide, expert in safety and fun!! NOC offers much great outdoor adventures like the rafting, mountain biking, zip lining or just watching the action at the river shoreline, too! All reasons we would love to come back and explore more
