Our stay at Vertali was made truly special by the outstanding customer service. Every member of the team was warm, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making our vacation memorable. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we felt cared for and appreciated. A very special thank you to Kiki, whose kindness, professionalism, and positive energy stood out every single day. She consistently went above and beyond and made us feel like valued guests rather than just another room number. I’d also like to recognize the incredible breakfast team. Their friendliness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Exceptional service is what transforms a great hotel into an unforgettable experience, and the team at Vertali did exactly that. Very helpful and attentive staff. Breakfast was a real highlight, and dinner in the hotel was just as good. The views over Chania are amazing although you’re a bit limited by what can be done on foot so you’ll need taxis but staff can help to make the bookings. The spa treatments are good value.

Room cleaned everyday. Great location for walking to the beach, old town and harbour. Staff friendly at all times.

Decent hotel overall which ticks all the boxes without quite reaching any particular 'wow' factor. The private loungers on the beach were a highlight and the beach is clean with good sand, clear water and great for swimming. Theres also 2 additional pools which are decent and not busy even in peak season when we visited. Being an adults only hotel meant that it was peaceful without noisy kids taking over, however there are a lot of screeching cicadas in the area which are a bit like sitting next to a car alarm especially on the room's balcony area. We opted for half board which was unnecessary as we went into town for dinner, the evening buffet was ok but not amazing, breakfast buffet was good though. From chatting to locals this is one of the bigger hotels in the area and one of the few adults only. Its well regarded locally but having been to varoius other 5 star places it wasnt exceptional, but for Chania its a very good option. The hotel is well located with a handy public bus service into old town; Chania town is very pleasant and has a lot of good places to eat but the best restaurants are away from the harbour. Overall an enjoyable stay.
