Quaint House, Great Location

Perfect little house for our trip to watch softball. Short walk to the Lake Shawnee Softball Fields. Trails around the lake were great for morning walks. Convenient location with restaurants and shopping nearby. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Owner was readily available. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for us

The location was perfect for being really close to the lake. We felt safe and tucked away. Loved the screen room to sit out and listen to the rain. Hosts came out to tend to a few things like the screen door and the pin pad battery

Great Rental

Being so close (less than a block) from Lake Shawnee was amazing. Great way to get in relaxing walks with our pup throughout the day. Easy access to the interstate. Older but super comfortable house with awesome shower water pressure. The lights on the screened in porch were a great touch. Will definitely book here again.

Nice location, clean and all the amenities you need. I would recommend property owner replace window coverings with more privacy window coverings. Loved the covered porch and location!

Perfect Hidden Gem

Seth’s property was perfect for our stay in Topeka. The house was clean and super comfortable. The lake is just a quick walk away from the home nestled inside a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. 5 stars!

Base camp for Unbound Gravro

This was our second year in a row staying at this place for the Unbound gravel race in Emporia. The bedrooms are spacious and comfy, but the screen porch is our favorite place to hang out. It’s located on a short culdesac close to the lake, so there’s no traffic buzzing by. It was a great base camp for our cycling adventure.

New Year’s Retreat

This little house by Lake Shawnee was a great launching off point for seeing family in the area, touring museums, and most of all resting from the Holidays. Walking the dog along the lake really helped me decompress from the Holidays and recenter and reset for the new year. The inside of the house was exceptionally clean. Backyard could benefit from a leaf raking. That said, I highly recommend this place.

Lake house

The location is great and the house was cozy. The owner was quick to respond to questions and that was appreciated because of schedules. The porch and house could have been more clean. I had to actually clean some things like the refrigerator and mostly the screened porch needed cleaning. We did use it and enjoyed it for morning coffee. Very comfy.

Worked for us. Could use a long dresser in the MB to put your small stuff and personal bath items as there is not a vanity in the bathroom. Laundry area needs a good cleaning, dryer lint and spilled laundry soap that hasn’t been cleaned up. Didn’t cook but appeared to have most everything one might need to cook a basic meal.

Nice place, good location near the lake

My husband, 2 children and I were visiting Topeka for a family gathering. This property was the perfect location, within 5 minutes of my aunt and uncle's house. Of course with the lake right up the street, we had fun fishing too. There was an issue with the a/c (hey, it happens, even at our own homes). I reached out to Seth through text and he responded right away and fixed it while we were at our family gathering. The property is a bit small but it had all that we needed for the weekend. My only suggestion would be that it needs a deep cleaning.
