"We had a very pleasant stay with Wahid hotel. They just opened and we were the first guests and had it all to ourselves. The room was nice and the pool area was amazing. "Actually a very beautiful colonial hotel but poorly maintained rooms. Also the description of standard room is somewhat wrong - it said there was aircon which was false. The reception Werę so kind and ”upgraded” is to a similar room with air con."

"Very dusty rooms/Floor. Hair on the blanket. No AC, called and was told that it will be cool at night, but it was hot. A lot of Mosquitos. Advertised on hotels.com with free minibar, Nothing. No welcome drink, given the next morning after asked. May be due to almost midnight arrival. Vegetable side on breakfast plate was spoiled. For the price range, not worth it. Pro : free bicycle. Hotwater for shower. Cute little garden in the back. Great homemade tea."

"Absolutely loved this place! So beautiful and not far from the temple. Would suggest a tuktuk rather than walking though as even in the morning it's pretty hot. Aside from the need for air con, cannot fault this place at all. One of our favourite hotels so far on our trip!"

"Villa Borobudur is set in a stunning location, nestled in beautiful green forests with views of distant volcanos. It had 2 large pools with infinity edges, overlooking the scenery. Staff at Villa Borobudur couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome. We were greeted with warmth every time we had any interactions. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed trying out batik while my husband and son had great fun at a cookery class. We also enjoyed a hike and I would thoroughly recommend a guided cycle trip through the local village and market. "
