"Quadruple room was too small even for 1 person. We stayed in much bigger and better hotel in nearby La Spezia for half the price. Also the description was misleading, it said 2 double beds and 2 single beds, while it actually was 1 double bed (which is for 2 people) and 1 bunk bed. Check in was cumbersome as they couldn't explain in clear English that that room can actually take 4 people, also the room reeked tobacco smoke (though they changed it after). "Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast - so much choice! Good location of hotel - 20min walk to Tower area & 10mins to train station. Room was a decent size - large bed. Personally, I found it too hot and stuffy (even in Feb) but staff provided fan. Quite a lot of noise from lift/stairs area carried into room (and thumping overhead). Probably won’t put off a return - but would request different room."
