"Riverside Cottage is situated in a fairytale setting, with woodland behind and the river in front of the cottage. Access is easy, however, and we had no problems finding it. We could park the car close to the front door. Gaining entry was easy, following the clear instructions we'd received, and we found the cottage clean, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. "D12 treetops at Clarach bay is a lovely setting. Family friendly and lovely staff. We had hot water and good recycling facilities. The site was perfect. However, some of our bedcovers had chocolate on them!!! We found spares to use instead. The green headboard on the main bedroom had a strong smell of unwashed hair ( it seriously needs to be replaced). We had no WiFi and on enquiring we were informed the previous guests had used it up? "Booked at the very last minute as visiting mid wales after a week in Snowdonia. The cottage is on quite a busy road, but wasn’t too bad at night and convenient for the town centre and for visiting Ynys Hir and the Osprey centre . Bring your own tea and coffee as none provided . Coop just up the road and reasonable pub food at the Red Lion just a short walk up the road. Bed comfortable and clean . Good Wi Fi connection. 35 mins from Aberystwyth."

"The chalet was clean and comfortable and in a lovely peaceful and picturesque location. However we did have a problem with the bathroom door as lock was lose and on occasions we couldn't get out of the bathroom or in if the door was properly closed. "We stayed here as a family of 19 for 2 nights over New Year ranging from age 5-70. It was good as we all had our own individual cottages with kitchens, living rooms and bathroom which gave us our own space but the communal area is the Hall was being enough when we wanted to be together. Only issue was the gas heaters and log burners not working properly in a couple of cottages but electric heaters were available and there is central heating in two of the cottages. "Everything was just perfect. Smooth checkin, the staff were really welcoming and approachable. The room was spotless, spacious, the layout was well thought out and the bed was very comfortable. It was great to have a proper big bed instead of two put together as some hotels do! Really handy to have a little kitchen area, especially the fridge. We had the tasting menu for dinner and breakfast the following morning. Everything was delicious, excellent quality and beautifully presented. The restaurant area is a cosy, welcoming space and the staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wine.
