It is a bit of a walk from the station but it was clean and friendly and the area was peaceful. The staff were helpful and it was close to lots of food options. We got used to the walk after a while and we discovered a closer station (Iriya) which was closer than Ueno. If coming from Ueno, use the Iriya Gate exit. The hotel is super close to Ueno park.

Good area, close to ginza and convenient stores nearby and walking distance.. about 5-7 minute walk to train stations. The only con were the beds and futons which were very uncomfortable and seemed outdated. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Very nicely appointed & functional rooms
A very short walk from ueno station
Washer-dryer in room was very practical , in fact the entire layout of the room , rain shower, sectional sofa bed, fridge-freezer, kitchen sink+hotplate was next level.

"We would have given more stars but our first night there we found 2 cockroach type bugs in our room. The staff was amazing because when we told them and asked for a new room they switched us right away. If there weren’t bugs we would have given them more stars."
