"We have visited / rented in this area since 2011 but it is the first time staying in this magnificent villa. Now we have discovered this gem we will be returning and have already booked for 2023. It is the perfect location for meeting up with friends and being in an area we love. The equipment inside and out where more than what you would have accepted, the pool was lovely and clean, the grounds were kept immaculate. It was a beautiful place to relax and unwind. The host was amazing. Thank...

"We stayed one evening as a stop off on our way back to the ukSweet little house. We were charged 6E for towels which were not supplied. We did have beach towels with us which I did tell the owner. We have still been charged for towels. We had to clean the house which was not clean from the previous occupants. We would have been charged 35E for a clean otherwise. LOGIS Le Capricorne

8/10 Good

"The only thing we noticed is that there is no elevator to the upper floor so getting our luggage up there was some work. We were on bikes and they had a very secure place to store them which was great!!"

Charming Country Cottage With Large Heated Pool In Monbazillac, near Bergerac

10/10 Excellent

Caractére Gite in Périgord 'Oven'

10/10 Excellent

"We’ve just returned from an absolutely fantastic stay and would highly recommend this house. The pool is the absolute highlight. The photos really don’t do it justice — it is huge, beautifully maintained and perfect for adults and children, ranging from 0.9m to 2m. It was cleaned every morning. The table tennis table was a brilliant addition, while the three outdoor seating areas gave us options for sun or shade. The outdoor kitchen and BBQ were fantastic. The only small disappointment was that the outdoor oven wasn’t working, but this didn’t affect our enjoyment.Inside, the living area was comfortable and the small but extremely well-stocked kitchen was very well laid out.The two separate wings worked brilliantly and would be ideal for two families. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, with air conditioning in several bedrooms and hallways. Even at 40C, the villa stayed surprisingly cool. The listing photos appear quite old, as several bedrooms have since been updated, so the house felt more modern than expected. WiFi was excellent, easily handling 7 iPads and 6 phones. It doesn’t reach the pool, but we actually saw this as a positive! The play area could use updating, and two clothes airers were provided instead of a washing line, but neither affected our stay.Importantly, the owners were fantastic — responsive, helpful, kind and never intrusive. We had an amazing family holiday and would happily return. Highly recommended!"

Gites Les Naudines Cottages, 4 Places au Milieu des Vignes

8/10 Good

10/10 Excellent

"A beautiful hotel situated in an old windmill, right next to the river, with amazing views. The rooms are lovely, clean and well equipped and the shower is great. All of the staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Our evening meal was wonderful, as was breakfast, with a wide and varied range of excellent, fresh products. You can wander downstairs to sit by the river, passing through a room containing the workings of the old windmill, a bit like a museum, which is really interesting. There is a huge free car park, including spaces with electric charging points."
