The stay was great, our deer camp was full and needed a close place and this one was perfect, had all of the amenities. I would recommend to anyone for an all year visit, great for all of the season's.
This was a modest cottage that fit the needs of our family very well! We traveled with 2 tddlers, and we loved that this place had kid-friendly books, toys, and amenities that made our packing list a lot shorter. We took the canoe out on the quiet lake and enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. This location was within driving distance of a bunch of fun waterfall hikes and beaches, so we definitely recommend it to those who want to stay in a more secluded location for some rest & relaxation in the outdoors.
Choose this cabin because of location to snowmobile area I wanted to explore. Trails were. closed but still enjoyed area. Owners worked with us as we changed lenght of stay. Clean and comfortable.
Cabin was fantastic. Fishing was fantastic. Highly reccomend

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Spent 3 nights at Sandy Hollow. They supply everything you could possibly need for a great stay. We were gone exploring most of the time so we really weren’t there a lot. Quiet, on the lake and perfect for a relaxing getaway.
Nice, well appointed cabin on a pretty lake between Lake in the Clouds and Copper Harbor. Go sightseeing or stay and fish. The owners are responsive but not obtrusive. Great value in a quiet setting.
This is a quaint little cabin on the shores of Sandy Lake. The view is spectacular and it´s an easy spot to stay if you want to travel up to Houghton or Copper Harbor as well as if you´re heading to the Porcupine Mountains. The owners are great communicators and the cabin is well stocked with all the things you´ll need to have a great time!
3 of us went up for a few days of riding. Maybe 1 mile to the trail system to go all over the UP. We went to Copper Harbor and Lake of the Clouds (different days), but both were very manageable distances from the house. Would stay here again for sure.
We like to stay out in the country so this place is great. I like being able to walk the GSD on the gravel road with little traffic. We have stayed here in the past and probably will in the future. TIM
ATT cell service was good , remote area was great. the place was well stocked & clean. communication w/ owner was fast , he always answered. caught some fish off the dock , Krupps pastries were good suggested by owner.
all in all , great place to come relax. Thank you again for letting us stay at your great place.

My husband and I booked for fishing. We did fish, but the misquotes were very bad. Grass was high. Coffee makers were nice. They have both kinds. They have many, many older cooking and kitchen items. Carpet and bedding were outdate.

This property met our needs perfectly. Great for a snowmobile get-away!
Very well equipped 2 bdrm cabin that provided a perfect location for two avid snowmobile guys! Our host was available and accommodating and very polite in our exchanges. While this was perfect for our winter needs, it also looks like a great place to bring a small family for summer fun. Services such as food and fuel are reasonably close by; however it still felt very woodsy and remote. The roads and parking area were plowed adequately. We logged 300 miles on the fabulous trails in two days of perfect conditions. While the price seems “up there” it compared at the low cost end when viewed against other properties in the area. We were looking for value and availability, not high end 5-star. We are happy and we got what we wanted! Thank you!!
We stayed here as our base location while we hike around the Porcupine Mountains as well as visit Copper Harbor. The place is beautiful, especially with the Fall Foliage. We had everything we need. The washer/dryer, dishwasher, and fast wifi are a huge plus for us. We would definitely want to stay again.
Not fancy but very comfy and cozy. Typical up-north cabin. It rained and snowed most of the weekend we were there, but we were comfortable and warm watching Netflix and making meals. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Kitchen is well stocked, and they have lots games and plenty of blankets, etc. Would definitely come back.
