Great and well appointed cabin, good location for checking out Lincoln Caverns. Helps to know how to operate a wood stove if you're going during the cold time of year (we did and had no issue with it). Would definitely book again.
Matt was a great host and it was a breeze to communicate with him before and during the stay. Although we were not able to take full advantage of it, he let us to check in early and check out late. The cabin was as described, a great place to get away!
This was our third year staying at Drooly Bear and we will be back! Close to Lake Raystown and Trough Creek State Park. Great for family get together. Whole family loves it.
We have been taking a winter weekend getaway here for years, and it’s just perfect. Well appointed, clean, comfortable, quiet, and good hiking locations nearby.
There were 15 of us, so our family filled up the cabin. Not all the beds were comfortable, but the host was very helpful & accomodating if we needed anything. The kitchen was well supplied. It was a great place to make good memories! Lots of space for activities: soccer in the driveway area, a campfire, group games in the living room area, hiking nearby, etc.

Not a far drive from the Raystown Resort which offers a beautiful lake to walk around at, fish to feed and a very fun water park. It’s a little on the small side but fun! Also several things to do on the lake and a pizza place that is delicious. Some convenience stores not to far from the cabin. Beautiful area with lots of wildlife!
My husband and I enjoyed ourselves at this property for our anniversary. We were able to bring the dog along with us. He loved it too. Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful.

The Drooly Bear Cabin met our needs for a quiet, restful getaway. There's a welcoming charm to the place that makes it feel familiar and inviting from the first moment. The cabin is well appointed with comfortable beds, furnishings, and a well-equipped kitchen. The kids loved the swings outside, and while we were there, we saw deer, owls, and turkeys.
My family absolutely loved this cabin. The home owner is very hospitable. Ensured our needs were all met and gave us the very best value. Will be back forsure.
Came here to reunite with some college friends and the cabin had everything we could have needed. The kitchen is well stocked for making meals, the firepit and outdoor swing were great outdoor hangout spots, there were plenty of beds and blankets for everyone, and the host was very communicative.
We absolutely love this cabin. 2024 was our 2nd year staying for four nights and we will be returning every summer. It is now our yearly family vacation spot. Thanks again :) see you in summer 2025
Our stay at this cabin was truly delightful. The location was perfect, providing a secluded woodland setting while remaining conveniently close to town. We loved the wood burning stove. The kitchen was fully stocked and all appliances were in excellent working condition. Communication with Matt, the owner, was outstanding. We definitely look forward to returning here in the future.
We really love this place. Matt was great! We have stayed here before and we probably will be back. All the issues we had or might have had were quickly resolved. I suggest that you too come out to this cabin for a few days of relaxation in the woods.
The cabin is tucked away in a beautiful part of the mountains and is accessible to lots of hikes and trails. The place is spacious and cozy! Make sure you’re comfortable with managing a wood stove as the primary heat in cold temperatures and plan for groceries as it’s a bit of a journey to stores. We had a great time and would definitely stay there again!
Very beautiful, secluded cabin has everything you need very roomy absolutely breathtaking loved the wood burner the sky light windows especially over the bed and the jet tub was a plus the owner was wonderful answered back ASAP and even called to talk about things before we arrived was very nice about check in and check out very caring will definitely book again and would recommend to anyone needing a little peace in there life
Property had all of the items as advertised. Kitchen well stocked. Direct contact with property manager was excellent. Easy check-in. Property could use a thorough cleaning and carpet replacement - otherwise a very nice place to stay.
Great for everyone that came, we all love being outdoors and away from other people. Some went fishing out on the lake and some stayed back to just hang out at the cabin and played cornhole and cooked food. Everyone loved it
this place is nestles deveral miles into the woods. A perfect getaway! it's less than 30 minutes from water access and maybe 45 minutes to 7 points marina. there's a little grocery/mini mart a few mile up the hill if smaller items are needed. the were 8 of us and had plenty of room inside. We all enjoyed the stay and would do it again in Drooly Bear 100%
Always beautiful cabin and spacious. In 2020, some minor updates were needed, like a duct taped screen door and stained/burn holes in carpeting. This year unfortunately, same things could use attention as well as the sewage smells. It is a very relaxing scene though and we hope to visit again soon.
Stayed here for a short weekend getaway in winter, absolutely gorgeous place. Off the beaten track, but easy enough to get to some fun places around. House was cozy as you can ask for, wood stove, wood paneling, comfy bed and a couch you can doze off while listening to the fire crackling. Do be aware that you're not in a very good cell-signal area, as we got a bit turned around heading around the nearby park, and some of the "roads" marked on Google Maps are actually snowmobile trails that Google thinks are roads. The manager supplied a lot of great maps which helped a ton. Highly recommend Drooly Bear!
We had a wonderful stay at the Cabin. It was perfect for my husband, myself and our two teens. There were plenty of fun things to do, and we enjoyed poker night and old school arcade games. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Loved the air fryer and the electric skillet. Not having to chop our own wood was a plus. We went fishing nearby at Raystown lake and Trough creek state park We didn’t catch anything (except a few dead fish) but we would love to come back and try again. We would probably hire a boat tour next time to get to know the area. The visitor center at Eaystown was super helpful. Can’t wait to go back!

It was a little warm in the cabin ac- portables did not cool the open loft design and did not go to the back bedrooms. It was a bit damp due to humidity and portables not being enough. Great communication with Matt who wanted to discuss the stay with us so he can make changes for future guests. Great location for getting to the lake and a small beach swim area at the lake.
The deck was great, great open living area never felt cut off from anything. Cabin was in the perfect location for our weekend plans of fishing the game lands.
