"Stayed here for my last night in Ireland after a week long trip. It was honestly the perfect way to end my vacation. Had the writers cottage all to myself and the fire was already going when I arrived. It was exactly the cozy quiet night I was looking for!"

"Yvonne and Peter couldn't be more accommodating! Yvonne met us to discuss the cottage. She had nice touches to make everything cozy. It was incredibly clean! We felt at home immediately! It was a wonderful base camp for Kilkenny and several other places. We loved Portlaoise and enjoyed several trips into town ( only a 10 minute drive) We loved their dogs and enjoyed spending time getting to know them. ( Our choice, they are very respectful of privacy) I absolutely recommend their place 100%!!"

"Our Coolderry Lodge stay was wonderful. Wonderful. Centrally located, it's an easy jump to any number of places of interest in the country. Colette, our terrific host, provided warm hospitality, ideas of places to visit and excellent homemade sugar cookies. The farm dogs made sure we were extra welcome. It's hard to overstate the charm and the beauty and quiet of the location."

"We really enjoyed this cottage. It was exactly as listed. So cozy and felt like home. Our host was lively and we loved the town. We enjoyed several meals at Giltrap Pub. Mattresses are still the kind with springs which was not a great fit for our backs but the rooms and duvet covers were just great!! Nice shower and bathroom. Overall, I’d recommend this cottage to all. We were able to make several day trips East and South. Great location if your renting a car. Thanks a million."

"Overall good experience, convenient room, great choice of breakfast. The only thing I didn't like was that room had dark wall colour, so it was rather dark even during the day or in the morning. Same applies for the corridor. If have something small in your bag and need to find it, well be patient, very patient, because it rather dark. "

"We were just a quick stop overnight, but it met our needs. Didn’t make use of the pool or fitness rooms bc we arrived after they closed, which was early compared to other places we stayed on this trip. That was our only complaint. It fully met our needs otherwise. Parking was a good set up"
