Peace and Quiet -- Tilghman Island, MD

It was amazing being that close to the water; watching the wildlife; and dining at the nearby high quality restaurants ... it was a perfect 4 days! And we met SO MANY FRIENDLY FOLKS!

Awesome waterfront house

We really enjoyed this house! It was super clean and spacious. The pool was great and you can’t beat the water view. I would 100% stay here again!

Great get away

Check in was easy and fast. When we got my family was excited to jump in the pool. It has everything a family needs to get some R&R. The dock has beautiful views and it`s great to just sit and watch the sun set. Recommend to Family looking to get away.

Gorgeous Views

This house is a perfect retreat. Well equipped, in a quiet neighborhood directly on the Chesapeake Bay. The property has everything one could need and more. We would stay again and again. In fact, none of wanted to leave.

NICE VIEW

WE HAD A NICE WEEK. NICE POOL, LOCATION, ETC. CHARMING AND LOADS OF ROOM. A CANNOT MISS PLACE FOR A VACATION. SETTING ON THE WATER MADE EACH DAY A JOY!

Very nice home

Very nice home. Great view. Nice pool. Beds very uncomfortable, pans need to be upgraded. Management company not very accommodating and given minimum supplies for our stay for the amount we paid.

Peaceful and Perfect

We truly enjoyed our stay. The house is very comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Had everything we needed. And the view is magnificent. Spent most of the time on the deck watching the water. Saw osprey and eagles daily. Just incredible. And really enjoyed the pool.

Great Property with Great Amenities

Very nice, spread out floor plan with two different wings. Very comfortable sitting room adjacent to master bedroom. The pool was clean and well-maintained and we enjoyed the single and double kayaks. The management company was responsive to the one minor issue we raised and was a pleasure to interact with. I highly recommend.

Pros and Cons

Quiet setting with amazing views. Pool adds a lot to the experience- this is not an area of Chesapeake where you swim. (A note about the pool - there is zero shade. I had called ahead and inquired about an umbrella and was told there was an umbrella but there was not umbrella.) The house is nice- it's not upscale but does the job well. The outside property - especially the bushes- need attention. The front is so over grown it interferes with entering the front door. Also the long-time dead plants in pots around the property do not provide a lovely vibe. The two bedrooms in older section of the house are spacious but the beds are not comfortable. One chair in the LR is broken which we tried to report - but kept getting "mailbox is full" messages from ESVR. In all the size, quietness, pool feature and incredible views carry the day for this property.

Beautiful setting and property

We had a beautiful time staying at Clearview. It was spacious and comfortable. The pool dock and water view was priceless. Only 2 areas that needed work. The shrubbery was overgrown when first entering the home. It had not been maintained well and there were insects inside and outside of the house. We killed many ( at least 30 each) of spiders and flies inside the house and the number of bugs outside in the front made it difficult to leave or enter the house after dark due to the excessive amount of bugs. This should be maintained better for such a beautiful property. It was well stocked on the kitchen and with towels. A beautiful home

Slice of Heaven

My family and I enjoyed this vacation because it gave us the opportunity for lots of R&R which is what we all wanted. The only thing that we found to be a challenge was the mattresses on all but the master bed. Our backs were really bothering us. Everything else however was wonderful!

Tilghman Island Retreat

We were nervous about renting this house because there was only one review, but shouldn’t have worried because the house was adorable! Very clean, decorated beautifully, and right on the water! The pool was a life saver because it was in the 90’s the week of our stay. We enjoyed using one of the kayaks even though it was difficult navigating the rocks leading to the water to get in and out of it. It would be helpful if there was a ladder on the pier. The sunsets were so beautiful- I must have taken a zillion pictures of them! We brought portable umbrellas with us since there was no shade around the pool, and were so glad we did. The house really was nice, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The neighborhood was also very quiet and great for walking in the evenings. St Micheal is nearby and is just the cutest town! The only negative was the smell of the water- but we drank bottled water and only used it to brush our teeth, so it wasn't a big deal really. Overall, we had a wonderful experience!

Beautiful home, beautiful view. A great place to relax!

The property was very clean and had a great layout. The view was beautiful and it was a perfect place to relax and unwind. There is not a lot to do on the island so if you are looking for a fun nightlife this is probably not the place. But if you are looking for a relaxing vacation and spending quality time with family, then this place is perfect. The pool was a nice size but the hot tub was a bit small, good for two people at a time. The island does rent boats and wave runners and the town of St. Michael's has cute shops and restaurants and is about 25 minutes away. Food stores were also a distance away so come prepared. Otherwise I would highly recommend this house!
