Confirmation email had incorrect information on it. Said front desk closed at 10pm, luckily for us it was 11pm as per another booking sites information. Phone number in the email was inactive as was another number we tried from another booking site. No way to call. Suite cleanliness wasn’t the best. Mirror in bathroom was dirty, shower had a musty smell and floor has a fair few hairs on it that weren’t mine. Only 2 towels provided, no bath mat, no hand towel, no face cloths. Fridge wasn’t cleaned and wiped out from last people, no cloth or teatowel provided for the kitchen. The pool area and pool was lovely, but the few lounger chairs around were all broken. Wifi was a little intermittent

Fantastic location and rooms

Once again, a great stay at the Journal for a work trip. I have stayed many times before, but think this was my first room on the front of the hotel, 9th floor. Better view than the rear, but unfortunately, also noisier at night with both traffic noise and music from somewhere? The staff, accommodation and food was as usual, fantastic. Will definitely stay again, but will ask for a rear room next time.
