I would have rated the friendly service higher but was surprised by the demand for a cash deposit of 100 dollars to secure the room. They would not accept a credit card deposit. Only cash. An unpleasant and unplanned and probably unnecessary surprise. I questioned desk manager and he said it’s just policy. "

"Had a great time at this property. It was a family trip, my kids are ages 13 and 5. They played by the river, the swings and the rope swing all day. Never wanted to go into the house. You have the whole river to yourself and it is very secluded. My husband and I also spent all day outside. Fishing, playing horseshoes and just sitting by the river relaxing. We only went into the house in the evenings. We were able to just put in some DVDs and watch movies and play dominoes. It was so peaceful...
