Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
We absolutely had the best time staying here. The house was very clean, and cozy. The owners are amazing with communication and had instructions for anything we could possibly think to ask for! Don’t forget to sigh the guest book, that was a very sweet touch to add. Hope to stay again in the future
The place was amazing and was a great central location to all things up north! The house was very cozy and really nice indoors despite some crappy weather! Mike was super communicative and helpful before and throughout the whole trip! Highly recommend this spot if you have a large group, we had 10 guys and everyone except two got their own bed!
I stayed here with some friends for a weekend golf trip. It’s a nice, quiet, and clean cabin with a number of restaurants and golf courses nearby. I would highly recommend staying here.
Property was pristine, beautiful location surrounded by nature and the amazing Betsie River. Iron Fish Distillery near by if you’re feeling thirsty. Overall great experience and would definitely rebook in the future !
This was a great property with a beautiful setting. Everything was as it should be and the bedrooms were clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again. Close to Crystal.
The Cabin home was very spacious and clean. They added an additional outdoor dock which was nice! Great view of river with large outdoor decking. Fishing was difficult as there really isn’t an access point into river as it’s steep and river was high in area.

Love how clean the property was. Beautiful house over looking a river. Really got us to disconnect from the real world for a week and enjoy our stay.
We LOVED this property! Needed a place to stay for a large group of friends for a wedding. The location was perfect as well as the layout for us! We had sixteen people for our stay and there was plenty of room for us the river was beautiful we look forward to renting again!
Great room and kitchen combo ideal for hanging out. Plenty of seating and well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful deck and screen porch. Not all bedrooms have windows, no AC (but weather cool so ok)
The house is very spacious and was very comfortable for 13 in our group. Common area was roomy and opened to kitchen and outdoor deck, with access to Betsie River.in back yard. Beautiful trees and landscape, very private. We enjoyed the firepit and grill on the wrap around deck. We were there for a three day fishing on the Betsie with a lot of cooking inside and out, and we had everything we needed.
Overall experience was amazing!! We definitely want to come back for another trip. Very peaceful and relaxing! If you like the wilderness and being around woods and water then this is a place for you. The cabin does hold at least 12 people and room to spare. So big families are not exempt.
We have stayed here several times while skiing Crystal Mountain. The open and spacious kitchen, dinning and tv area are our favorite place to relax with family and friends. The new upgrades are woderful and well chosen. Thank you for allowing us to rent your property and would definetly recommend this property
The house was beautiful and well equipped. The setting was so peaceful. The area close to the river could use a little T.L.C., but it is apparent they have been working on replacing sections. I would highly recommend staying here.
This vacation was awesome! Plenty of room for our family. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We cook on vacation and have family meals, there was enough room for everyone! The property was absolutely beautiful! We loved the fall colors and the river. We have grown children and they loved this cabin. My son actually said “this is my favorite”. (We take our kids on a short vacation every fall in Michigan.) This Cabin and location is 5 stars!
It is a very nice and beautiful place - just as described. Easy check-in and check-out. We rented it for Thanksgiving and asked for an early check-in, and the owner agreed without any issues. The only problem was the temperature. When we arrived, the thermostat was set to 51F, and it felt noticeably cold. Among us were a few elderly people, for whom the first few hours were difficult until the temperature rose to 65F. The owners should set the thermostat higher before our arrival so we wouldn't have to be wrapped in blankets and quilts during Thanksgiving dinner.
We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. It has an open kitchen space which made it feel very homey. Had everything we needed to host a thanksgiving dinner. The basement was very cold even though we turned up the heat. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
My only remark would be that the trash cans in the bedrooms weren’t empty from previous guess or housecleaning crew/person.
We came up here for a fun girls weekend and this was such a great spot for what we were looking for! We needed a centrally located place to traverse city and torch lake and that slept everyone comfortably and it was perfect! It wasn’t clearly listed that there was not actual AC in the cabin which was fine, it was just stuffy in the house at times especially in the basement room with no windows. Also there were lots of box fans provided however they were VERY dirty. We loved visiting the Iron Fish Distillery for dinner one evening, the living room space is wonderful for a large group to hang out as well!
We had a great time with a big group. The only complaint I have is that 2 of the bedrooms in the basement do not have windows so technically should not be counted as bedrooms. There was also only one remote that worked for the tvs. The other remote did not have batteries. We had a nice fire, caught a few fish and we would rent again.
This was our 3rd time staying at the property and it was great as usual. We couldn’t ski due to the weather but had no problem finding things to do in the area. The house is large enough to fit several families and a huge bedroom downstairs for the adult kids to hang out.
I must say it would be nice if the furnace was WiFi and the owners could bump up the heat prior to our arrival as it was only 58 degrees in the house but it did heat up fairly quickly and was not a big deal.
Thanks for having us and I’m sure we’ll be back in the future!!
