Great stay

A great place to stay, really comfortable, big rooms. Food was good too, service very friendly. The road to get there is a bit rough and the tuktuk drivers know it is an upmarket resort so they try to squeeze you, make sure to negotiate hard.

This is a beautiful and peaceful Ayurvedic five star retreat overlooking Trivandrum. It is teired at different levels into the hills, which as a result offers beautiful vistas virtually every room. The Ayurvedic treatment options can be tailored from anywhere from one day to two weeks, and are excellent! The food is wonderful, and the staff is absolutely first class.

I loved this place. It was quiet, clean, the staff were lovely, the food was fantastic. I had some great massages and did yoga while the sun rose over the hills. I thought it was great value for money. The bed was really comfy too.

Nice peaceful resort. You can get a tuk tuk down to the beach for around 100 rupees using uber or r200 if you negotiate.

Wir haben und im Amara Ayurveda Retreat sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit,besonders im Restaurant. Das vegetarische Essen war sehr lecker. Morgens um 7 Uhr kann man an der Yogastunde teilnehmen. Der Yogalehrer hat super angeleitet. Bei den Ayurvedabehandlungen wurde auf die individuellen Bedürfnisse geachtet. Der Arzt war sehr kompetent. Das Zimmer war sauber und gut eingerichtet. Wir hätten uns mehr Haken gewünscht um Handtücher etc aufzuhängen. Leider sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig. Die Umgebung war für uns in Ordnung, da sie sehr ruhig war. Zum Einkaufen oder Essen gehen ist jedoch ein Tuktuk oder Taxi notwendig, da es nichts dergleichen in der näheren Umgebung gibt.

Stay was totally underwhelming for the price. There were ants, spiders and lizards on the beds. They changed sheets on one with ants but ants kept coming thru out the night. Spiders and lizards were crawling on the bed. A/C stopped working middle of the night when called they said will call back and no one did. They probably thought we were checking out early so no need to fix it. We were checking out early at 5.00am and were told that they will provide packed sandwiches but they were not ready with that even at 5.15 am. This was our first trip to trivandrum and this hotel stay made it awful experience. Being a aurvedic retriet they close service at 6.00pm . How can one use the service if we stay there just for one night?

Excellent séjour

L'hotel est situé à 10 minutes de Kovalam beach. Très bel hotel avec des chambres très grandes et agréables. Calme. Cours de yoga le matin à 7h30 proposés gracieusement. La piscine et son environnement est très agréable. L'hotel commande les taxi ou tuk tuk facilement. Massages ayurvediques sont proposés, j'en ai fait un qui m'a beaucoup plu. Bon petit déjeuner sous un restaurant en pleine nature. Je recommande cette parenthèse de bonheur.
