"The Hideaway is a quaint cottage with outstanding cleanliness and amenities. The added touch of snacks waiting for us was so appreciated and welcomed. I also appreciated the flyers of local activities. Communication was excellent and very prompt…an added touch of hospitality. Neighbors were friendly and well accommodating while we were unloading. And York is a lovely city."

Very comfortable, and a good wood burner in the sitting room, making it cosy, although the kitchen area was also so nice we spent a lot of time in there too. Hutton Le Hole is a pretty village, with easy access to good roads for travel to the coast and York, but with plenty to do in the immediate area too, including Castle...

The icing on the cake was a delicious Yorkshire Brack cake waiting for us on our arrival and to top it all Rachael made us a cake half way through our visit. The accommodation was excellent. "This was our second stay here for the three of us plus dog. Located near the castle and overlooking the railway, it’s ideally placed. Town is a two minute walk and, although parking is a street away, there was always free spaces. You’ll need reversing skills to get to the property to unload, as the house is on a narrow one way road, with no parking. The property is ideal for four, with two bathrooms and a decent sized kitchen/dining/living area. Happy to say, we’ll look for the property the next...

They advertise luggage storage and before we checked in they stored our luggage and then took it to our room when the room was ready, that was awesome, but when we asked for luggage storage on our check out we were told we would have to pay. Staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Really good stay. Had an issue with the bathroom plug and was able to speak to someone straight away. Very hot in the apartment, especially the bathroom. Another fan or two would have been great. Only issue was in the parking area, very tight to get out the space when all spaces were being used. Walkable to everywhere if interest. Would recommend and stay again. "

"We arrived early and was welcomed beautifully by a gentleman (sorry I can't remember your name but he was Spanish). We were allowed to check in early and found the room to be so spacious, clean & smelt lovely. We used the swimming facilities which again where clean & tidy, also welcomed in by the young gentleman in the wellness centre who was very informative. On checkout (again same gentleman on check in) was so lovely and friendly. Would recommend this beautiful hotel and fantastic friendly team. We will be back again! "
