7. Nyhavn

Established in the 17th century, the Nyhavn or New Harbour, was originally a gateway into the old city. It had however fallen slowly into disrepair after nearly a century of neglect. Today, it is a lively entertainment hub with great bars and restaurants. It is still home to a host of boats and historic ships that are permanently moored here and can be viewed from the harbour’s edge.
