"The location is on the edge of a quiet village and with only subtle sounds of frogs from the pond and whinnies from the horse it was bliss. This was our 2nd stay and would love to come back again. Transport is required to access local shops but the ride out is so lovely it isnt a worry. We stayed for the 80th anniversary of D-Day and found it a good base to stay for the events. The apple juice left for us was very welcome and the use of the BBQ was excellent as we had such good weather. The gite...

"We were given a very personal and friendly welcome by the hosts, who explained details of the house to us. The house is very well equipped and spacious, especially since we were only two people! The house is well placed to visit this part of Normandy and the hosts were able to give good advice. This would suit many different groups of people. "Very nice and convenient stopover hotel. It may feel slightly tired at first glance, but rooms are practical and clean. Bathroom is small but well designed for the space. Water pressure in the shower is adequate, Front-desk service is excellent and swift; we arrived late in the evening with several suitcases, and we were immediately offered a ground floor room instead of our originally assigned room on a higher floor to accommodate us (without us even asking) which was extremely thoughtful. There is a wide parking area at the front of the hotel (shared with a restaurant next door) and the hotel is close to Bernay town centre which has plenty of food outlets and retail shops. We have rarely seen this level of service for the price of the room and can only encourage other travellers to use it."

"Easy walk from the train station. Elevator! Comfortable room and bed. The staff were super-friendly and accommodating. One of the receptionists changed my life by telling me how to get an inexpensive yeSim card so I’d have cellular service everywhere. (US travelers: Verizon service stinks in France.) Bonus: Discounts at some of the excellent nearby restaurants. On Saturdays the center of town, including the hotel, is inaccessible by car due to a lively street market."

"The hotel is simple and quiet. I appreciated the staff flexibility and kindness when I asked for assistance. I stayed in one of their renovated room ( which I recommend as the hotel is a little bit dated). The room had all the basics you need: modern TV, shampoo and soap in the shower, towels, storage space etc.). Breakfast (Buffet style) was very good with many choices. The location of the hotel is very central and convenient. I recommend this hotel for business or a layover (not a vacation)."

"Perfectly situated for a mid holiday stop over. Reception were excellent no fuss getting checked in. Rooms adequate if not modernised but perfect for a family and all you need. Location is near a massive retail park 3 m ins drive where you can get some food in the evening hours. Breakfast was also spot on. Recommend a stay if passing."

"The villa is in a small community of homes with enough privacy to think you were completely alone. The pool and gardens are beautiful and our children thoroughly enjoyed this aspect, both very well kept.Inside the villa you have two rooms upstairs with a bathroom with bath and a library on the landing overlooking downstairs, all very clean. Downstairs you have another 2 bedrooms (one with a TV and sofa bed) and a further bathroom with shower. Again all very clean and tidy. The living room space and dining area are much bigger than the photos so this was a nice surprise with a large fire in the centre (we didn't use this as we visited at the end of July) the villa also had aircon in the living area. The kitchen came fully equipt with lots of utensils and pots and there is a large fridge, three drawer freezer, dishwasher and microwave to use. The kitchen is quite small so preparing dinner was a little challenging when cooking for seven of us. The only negative is that the kitchen cupboards and the wardrobes in the rooms had a fair bit of clutter so I had to move some things in the kitchen and couldn't really hang anything in the wardrobes, this is such a minor thing though.The host Frédéric was amazing from start to finish, answered emails quickly, answered lots of my questions and gave us lots of details for check in. You won't be disappointed if you stay here."
