Peaceful 2BR Cabin - Davis • Thomas • Canaan • Timberline Ski-Hike-Ride in WV!

"This cabin was awesome, in a great location, and was immaculate when I checked in. Blackwater Falls State Park is literally around the corner so the convenience was a huge plus; I never drove more than ten minutes to get to any trailhead or parking area for the waterfalls. The host was very responsive and friendly when communicating. There were no delays in being able to occupy the cabin on time.The part I loved most about the cabin itself was how enjoyable it was to stay there and hang out. Most rentals seem to have mediocre setups that are "good enough" for people coming and going. However, here, the appliances worked, the internet was fast, the mini splits kept the place quite comfortable, the cookware was quality, and there was just about everything needed aside from actual food itself. I brought spices and a few kitchen items just in case and I did not need any of it. The main point is that if you stay here and the weather keeps you inside the whole time, you will still have a great time.My biggest recommendation to future travelers is to find a good grocery store within a reasonable distance and stop there on the way in. I'm glad I did because the Shop n Save in Davis was expensive and the Dollar General was temporarily closed.I certainly plan on staying here again."

"We had a wonderful time at this home. It was conveniently located and made a great home base for two groups doing separate outings, but I believe one of mine and my husband's favorite things was sitting out by the pond and enjoying the beautiful property the host has. It was beautiful and peaceful."

"The stay was great! I would highly recommend staying at the Fox Den or any of their other properties. We loved the Pac-Man game. The centers of Thomas and Davis are adorable. This is a great location for hiking Blackwater State Park. If you are reading the reviews and come across the noise reviews, I honestly did not find the noise from the upstairs unit to be bad at all, and my son didn’t even hear the noise. It’s literally just some footsteps here and there. During our stay, there were two different sets of guests above us and the host cleaned above us. I was not bothered by the noise any of the times. If you have someone in your party that is noise sensitive, maybe have them sleep in the room closest to the deck. However, I found the noise very typical of multi floor living. The space was clean and comfortable and had a lot of modern conveniences. I was the flick lights in my house now. The WiFi was great which is a necessity for this area as cell service is limited."
