The Sanctuary on Golden Lake

This property checks ALL of the boxes for lakeside comfort:  Four large spacious bedrooms, a fully-stocked kitchen, a massive lighted deck with a screened-in porch area, killer lakeside views, a large lush beach, a huge firepit area with firewood, and kayaks and SUP boards. Add in the fact that quiet Golden Lake boasts some great fishing, and you can see why The Sanctuary on Golden Lake is called by some "the best lake house in Indiana." You'll soon discover why families love this place and come back to stay again and again!
The property is perfect for families (8 people or less) on summer vacation, three couples who want an affordable and quiet getaway, small office/staff teams for planning retreats, and someone who wants quiet time away in a high-quality home. No matter the season or the weather, The Sanctuary on Golden Lake never disappoints!

Family Thanksgiving
Property was very well maintained and nicely decorated. WiFi connection was important to us and it worked well. There was a nice view of the lake. The colder weather kept us inside so we didn’t take advantage of the large deck area or any of the water sports available. Host was easy to communicate with and respected our privacy. We will certainly consider staying again in the future with no hesitation.

Great MOMCATION!
Great location and a comfortable cottage. We had a lovely location for our annual Momcation. Four of us met up at the Sanctuary fora much needed retreat from our spouses and children!! Thank so much!!

Girls golf outing without clubs....LOL
Nice property and well stocked. Location was very good as we could get to Angola, Pokagon, Freemont and Auburn within a few minutes. We didn't use any of the outdoor stuff much because it wasn't warm enough for us oldies. However it looked like they had plenty for anyone to do!!

Absolutely Wonderful Getaway!
The home is absolutely perfect. Plenty of room with great views of the lake. The kitchen is open to the living room. The bedrooms are great size and comfortable. There is a nice TV room upstairs. The deck is perfect for relaxing and having meals outside. There are plenty of water toys - kayaks, paddle boards, floats and a canoe. I highly recommend this place for a quiet getaway. It was very clean and contact with the host was simple with quick replies. Would love to go again!!

Golden stay on Golden Lake
Five of us (sisters and husbands) gathered at "The Sanctuary" for a five-night stay. When the previous guests left early, the owners allowed us to check into the home earlier than the listed time! That was certainly appreciated. One bonus of staying here is that the neighbors are very friendly. We took walks several days, and homeowners stopped to say hello; people just driving by all waved to us. We took full advantage of the porch and large deck for reading and sharing meals.

The Perfect Vacation
My husband and I had, what he described as, the perfect vacation spending 2 weeks at The Sanctuary. Everything you could need is thoughtfully provided. Our family and guests used all of the watercraft and fishing equipment. Above all, the beauty and restful feeling that greets you everyday is beyond description. Host Terry goes above and beyond as well.
