"Close to restaurants, shopping and grocery stores. Bed is comfortable with comfy pillows. It’s been quiet so that’s good as well. Staff have been very pleasant."

"Perfect location, right next to the water and downtown. Our rom was really comfortable and clearly updated with new furniture and textiles.
I wish they had mentioned there was no elevator to the main floor from the street and that we had to pay for parking. I thought it was included due to the wording they used."
"I can’t comment on the staff because their check-in just requires you to use your phone number to access the building and your room but the hotel was excellent. The rooms have no outside noise so if you’re a light sleeper, it’s the perfect spot. I got into Portsmouth long before my check-in time so I parked in a nearby garage which ended up costing the same amount that the hotel charges ($40/nt). You’re a block away from all the shops and restaurants and a short walk to Badger’s Island in Maine where you can get drinks and/or a bite to eat and a short walk to the town hall where they had a nice little farmers market Saturday morning "
"First room we checked into was satisfactory, nothing great, nothing bad, just a room for the night. However, my husband went to take a shower and there was not one drop of hot water. He got dressed again and went down to get the room changed as the phone was not working either, Room was changed to a new room. The new room was outstanding. It had been redone and was excellent. While we weren’t happy with the no hot water, the situation was rectified promptly and with minimal effort. it is not what goes wrong but it is how management deals with the issue. The young man at the front desk was excellent and got his manager involved to take care of the issue."
