We’ve stayed in this hotel several times over the last 20 years. We like the location (easy for Den Haag, Scheveneingen, Keukenhof, Leiden, Delft etc. even Amsterdam, and easy to drive to). Recently refurbished, the hotel has a new feel and many improvements made. The restaurant is really good (although I’d prefer more variety and more veggie options on the menu if staying more than a couple of nights). But, Van Der Valk for me, have THE GOLD STANDARD of breakfast buffets!! I stay in hotels frequently and have only had a couple come close in the breakfast stakes! I’ve stayed in various Van Der Valk’s over the years and have always loved their breakfasts! The bar area is a really good place to spend some time as well and reasonably priced - compared to UK! Anyway, this hotel: Good location, easy to access by car, excellent facilities, lots of parking, excellent EV charging facilities (this was important for me as it was my first drive from UK to Europe in an EV). Around the hotel itself, there’s not much, but it’s one of those places where that doesn’t matter. Everything is a reasonably short drive or bus ride away.
