This is a beautiful hotel situated overlooking the ocean. Lots of eating venues available at the hotel and in the Surrounding area. Shopping is also available within walking distance. The rooms were beautifully appointed the only thing that was odd was no plug-in in the bathroom for a curling iron and no mirrors close to the plug-ins in the room. The bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower and a huge bathtub the food at the restaurant and lounges was plentiful and delicious. I highly recommend this hotel.
A bit pricey, but we enjoyed or stay. It was important for us that it’s dog friendly and clean.
We had a very nice view over the sea. We did find some hair in the bathroom but all together it was clean and comfy.
Definitely be going back again.
Some staffs are not friendly, some of them yes, but mainly expensive for staying and not too much enjoying options to do in hotel. I just bored. Spa is closing at 18.00 ,you can enter the hotel at 15.30
Mainly clean for general but breakfast options are very limited for a 5 star hotel
While having booked the "large breakfast included" option for the Expedia reservation, we were charged additional 285,50€ for three breakfasts.
According to the hotel customer services, this incident was introduced by an error of Expedia.com.
Pretty unfortunate considering that many budget hotels offer similar breakfasts in terms of choice, quality and customer orientation of the staff.
The stay was good. Just the expectations with the staff was weird. We left for a beach walk and the bell boy wished us safe travels home. The guy at the reception was not friedly and his behaviour was scripted. I have stayed here before and never experienced this. The standard seem to have dropped. When checking out no body even asked us how our stay was.

STAY AWAY. The Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin is infested with rodents. While having coffee in the lobby area we saw a mouse run through the room. We had booked 2 nights but only stayed 1 night Hotel manager still made us pay for 2 nights since we booked through Expedia (another night in HOTEL RODENT, I don't think so). And then Expedia said ther was nothing they could do. Why in the world would I EVER use Expedia agin???

expensive - this place has had it's best days....
although this Hotel seems to be the best in Noordwijk I got the feeling it has seen better times and is now trying to get as much money a possible from its guest. I hope they use some of that for a modernisation...
The breakfast is horribly overpriced. So are Drinks at the bar. In addition to the (quite high) room prices they invented what they call "sustainability fee" that they add to your bill. It's above 8€ per person (!) per night (!) plus tax...
talking about sustainability.. what's the point in a "keep the towel in the rail to re-use them" policy if the cleaners always exchange them?
Grand Hotel, dass seinem Namen alle Ehre macht! Wir sind immer gerne hier und fühlen uns wohl. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend und der Zugang zum Strand ist unschlagbar!
