Also in Lake Crystal, public access to 2 lakes, Lake Crystal and Loon Lake. Another great small town bar/restaurant in Good Thunder, The Thunder Bar. The Red Jacket Valley Park is 9 miles away. Swimming, walking trails, and kayaking/canoeing. Located right next to the Red Jacket bike trail. Minneopa State Park is 10 miles away. Attractions there are double waterfall, bison, hiking trails, and wildlife. Minneopa Golf Course is 10 miles away, a bit further is Northlinks Golf Course in North Mankato and the Mankato Golf Club. Mount Kato Ski Area is 10 miles away. Ski, snowboard and tubing in the winter and mountain biking in summer. We enjoyed our stay on the property. It was close to mankato and minneopa state park, and also offered solitude and a comforting cabin. The hosts are extremely thoughtful and provided a wonderful stay for our family.
Loved the cabin! The hosts thought of everything and they were so nice. It was quiet, the scenery was beautiful, the property was very well maintained. The wildlife was neat to see.
Our second stay was as amazing as our first! Super clean property, comfy beds, a kitchen full of tools for cooking, beautiful night skies, and the most friendly hosts. A great place to just hang out and explore or a starting point for exploring Mankato and other local towns. Definitely a vacation gem. We've previously not visited a rental more than once...until now. Highly recommend! We'll definitely go back!
Quiet rural setting. Enjoyed coffee on the screen porch watching the chickens. Beds were comfortable and the home itself was full of unique features. Would definitely recommend.
Wonderful property. Quiet, many activities available and so much to see. If you are looking to accommodate several friends or family members near the Mankato area, this is it! Owners very friendly and respectful of your privacy during the stay.
This is the absolute perfect place to relax as a group. We came for a pool tournament and its nice to get away from the busy town and relax in this peaceful environment. Hosts are wonderful and easy to get ahold of if anything is needed.
My husband and I stayed with another couple and had a great time. Plenty of space for multiple couples, comfy beds, everything you need to cook there. It was a great spot for a weekend away to relax and unwind. Beautiful property that we enjoyed walking around and exploring. Very peaceful and relaxing! The owners stopped by and checked in with us and were incredibly kind and accommodating.
Just a beautiful property. They've thought of everything. The hosts were terrific, and our family had an amazing time. Not sure how they managed to control the weather, but the trip couldn't have been more perfect. 5 stars and I strongly recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a nice family getaway.
We stayed a weekend in May and had a wonderful time! The cabin was well stocked and clean. The layout of bedrooms and sleeping space was perfect. The decor is interesting (even an “eye spy” game to find unique pieces of artifacts throughout the cabin, leading to fun conversation starters). We enjoyed walking and hiking the grounds, the owners, Ann and Karl, were so welcoming and responsive. We hope to be back again!
Nice quiet place. Owners are kind. The place was very unique and comfortable. Cooking with a gas oven was a forst for me, but got the hang of it. Really liked how remote it is. Short drive to Mt. Kato and Mankato.
We had a wonderful stay at your place! There was plenty of space and look forward to coming back with my parents! We noticed that the home is handicap accessible, which will be very handy in the future! Loved having the freedom to roam the property outdoors as well! Thanks so much!
We absolutely loved staying at the cabin!! We had a blast looking at all the old antiques on the walls. We enjoyed feeding the chickens and looking at the horses. We saw ducks, turtles and deer. We will definitely stay there again when we are visiting!! Thank you Ann and Carl for a wonderful place to stay!!
This place is absolutely amazing! It is a beautiful cabin/home and has everything you need and more! Very peaceful and beautiful outdoors. The owners are very friendly and easy to work with. I highly recommend and will definitely rent it again!
We loved your home!! Stayed for a wedding nearby. Beautiful, clean, all your kitchen supplies, roomy, and beyond interesting. The decor is amazing, definite conversation starters! Cannot recommend this enough and would love to stay again.
We enjoyed this home. Plenty of room and very clean. The best stocked kitchen out of all the homes we have stayed in. Nice to be greeted by the host. We would to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.
