The Hydro Hotel

"We recently had a wonderful stay at The Hydro Hotel in Lisdoonvarna. While the property is currently going through some renovations, it hasn't lost an ounce of its historic, old-world charm. It is a wonderfully cozy place to return to after a long day of sightseeing. The staff were fantastic, the genuine hospitality we received made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. We also loved the morning breakfast, which was delicious and the perfect fuel for our busy days. The absolute best part of this hotel is the location. It is the perfect strategic base camp for County Clare. You are only a quick 10-minute drive down to Doolin to catch the passenger ferries out to the Aran Islands, and less than 15 minutes away from the Cliffs of Moher. Highly recommend this hotel if you want a warm, charming stay, right in the heart of all the best coastal sights!"

"Hotel was clean and rooms were comfortable, had two great sleeps. Beds and pillows were amazing. Breakfast the first morning was really good but the second morning not so great. Overall highly recommended"

"Front desk staff were very helpful when I needed to make a local phone call. Breakfast was good and the dining area was spacious and inviting. Rooms were clean and they even brought us a fan because Ireland was experiencing a heatwave."

"The hotel was clean & much of the staff was friendly. Parking was limited & some spots were tricky. It was a bit outside the city center, but quickly accessed via taxi. I do wish they had had an outdoor area."

"I mentioned to ten front desk that the sink and bathtubs were not draining well but other than that 10000% would stay here again. FANTASTIC breakfast. Super clean and wow! Great customer service"
