"Don’t expect to be able to get any food if you haven’t pre booked it. We travelled from the uk and after a long journey wanted some food and a glass of fizz. Only to be told that wasn’t possible. But a local bar shut in one hour so we needed to be quick. For a place that cost over 330 pounds a night I’d expect a little bit more service. "Great weather , we had a wonderful time. The older children enjoyed sleeping in the cottage. Great out door space, enjoyed the bbq area and the tennis court. the bbq did need cleaning before we could use it. On the down side, broken out door lighting meant it was very dark in the evenings. The pool is small. Not enough cups if everyone wanted a hot drink and no bowls. ( we had to buy bowls so the children could have cereal in the morning) One of the toilets was very dirty, There wasn't a gym. "

The rooms was absolutely adorable. Loved the attention to detail! It was so clean! We had a really lovely stay and will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

"My fiancee and I only stayed one night at Chateau de La Riviere, and I wish we had stayed longer. Communications with Alice, one of our hosts, were clear and easy. Upon arrival, we were told that we were the only ones staying that night! This made it feel like a fairy tale - a chateau all to ourselves! The historical flavor of the property made us feel like we were back in the 17th century. We were served an excellent multi-course meal by Chef Carole, who not only prepped and prepared our meal, but personally served it to us. Upon our departure, we were offered a private tour of the Chateau by the owner. The owners, their new puppy, and sweet dog were lovely hosts. They provided a custom and unforgettable 24 hours. We will return. Merci for everything! "
