"The room was very nice, friendly staff and the breakfast was wonderful. Location is excellent too. Our only complaint is the smell of the fish garbage from the adjoining restaurant that wafts into the hotel lobby. It’s not the hotel’s responsibility but they need to work out a solution with the restaurant owner or the hotel is likely to lose customers. "

"I was travelling with two small dogs and a car full of stuff for my house rental. The hotel was safe and the garden was fabulous for the dogs. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful. "The Campanile suited our purposes insofar as its situation. We were able to park the car safely and easily and take the bus into La Rochelle. We had a prob with the air conditioning which was promptly rectified/change of room and offer of one free breakfast. "The hotel is in a superb position at the centre of Chatelaillon-Plage. Our Superieure room on the 2nd floor faced the sea and was quiet and comfortable. There is a large public car park about 300m away, or parking in adjacent streets. Parking is free outside July and August. Breakfast was good, with a range of bread, baked goods, savouries, etc., although the fresh fruit selection was uninspired. The carpet in our room was quite marked, but otherwise all was in good condition."

"Hôtel Savary is a little jewel located in a quiet corner of La Rochelle. The staff here is unfailingly helpful, pleasant, and solicitous. The shoreline is an easy walk away, as is a boulangerie and charcuterie. The old city is a longer walk, perhaps 2 kilometers, along a beautiful avenue. My room, with terrace, was very comfortable. A park, and church with extraordinary bells, are nearby. I recommend this hôtel very highly."
