The location:
The newly renovated holiday home is located in the Wasserkoog in Tetenbüll, surrounded by nature, not far from the famous “Roter Haubarg.” The nearest swimming spot (green beach) is in Everschop-Siel, about 1.5 km away. You’ll find shopping in Tönning and Garding, or in Husum, about 20 km away. St.-Peter-Ording, with its beautiful sandy beaches, is about a 15-minute drive (20 km) away.

The Amenities
Our family-friendly holiday home, Deichwärterkate, offers 120 square metres of space on two levels and can accommodate up to 4 people.
The thatched-roof house, located directly on the dike, has a historic background—it was once the dike keeper’s house for the Wasserkoog. It underwent a complete renovation in 2021. Historic elements, such as the ceiling beams, have been preserved, as have the beautiful wooden floors and the typical Nordic arched windows. Combined with a trendy concrete floor, Danish-inspired interior design, natural textiles, and pastel colours, a cosy living atmosphere has been created. Please feel welcome!
As you enter the house, you’ll immediately find yourself in a bright and inviting hallway with a sisal rug and a coat rack. In the spacious living room, you can relax in a cosy sitting area with a TV.
In the dining room, the whole family can gather around the large table.
The well-equipped separate kitchen, featuring an old tiled stove, includes a stove, oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, and coffee maker, making it easy to prepare your own meals.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a separate bathroom and a stylish bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The house is surrounded by a beautiful property featuring a cottage garden, a meadow, shady trees, and landscaped paths. Here, children can run around freely, play to their hearts’ content, and watch the sheep in the adjacent pasture. After an eventful day of holiday, you can relax on the upper floor. Here you’ll find a bedroom with a double bed (160×200 cm) and a large children’s room complete with toys and two single beds (90×190 cm).
The house has two bathrooms: a state-of-the-art bathroom with a walk-in rain shower and a heated towel rack, as well as a guest bathroom. A washing machine is available and can be used at no extra charge. There is one parking space on the property.

Special features:
The large garden offers plenty of space for children and your dog (up to knee-high) to run around and play, while adults can find sunny and shaded spots to relax. We are happy to provide free Wi-Fi.
Smoking and barbecuing are strictly prohibited throughout the entire property due to the risk of fire.

An initial set of bed linens and towels is required for this accommodation and is already included in the final price. Additional linen packages can be added through the optional services.
