"No serious issues but definitely a case of you get what you pay for. I stayed three nights and each night it sounded like people in rooms above and beside me were either smashing furniture or throwing suitcases across the room. This wasn’t the fault of the hotel and possibly a rare occurrence."

"Absolutely incredible stay. The staff is SO friendly and welcoming, rooms are beautiful and very easy to access even after reception is closed, as everything simply requires a passcode. They clearly love this building and its history, and put a lot of care and love into designing the hotel experience. Excellent food nearby and the breakfast was terrific. "Staff were helpful, the room was clean and parking was on site which was nice. The grounds around the hotel were quite nice which had many orange and lemon trees loaded with fruit. Pool was being cleaned when we were there and we would not go into the pool even though staff said that we could. It was quite dirty. The hotel is about a 20 minute ride into the heart of Coimbra. We would recommend a taxi or Uber since parking is very hard to find in Coimbra. "
