"Everything about the Athens gate hotel was great! All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Easy walk to plaka, the acropolis, all types of food, the city for buses stop very close. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. Room 501 has perfect view of the temple of Zeus and from the corner of the balcony you can see the Parthenon too. I don't think I'd ever want to stay anyplace else. The only minor thing is few power receptacles and none are dual voltage, only European plugs and none in the bathroom. The balcony door really blocks the traffic noise well. Can't recommend highly enough!"

"The Palladian Home is a joy all around! Clean and cozy, it was the perfect home away from home for our first stay in Athens. Plus it couldn’t be any better located for access to the Acropolis, shopping and great restaurants. My only advice is to bring ear plugs. My son and I had a double room located just off the square, and while the sounds of laughter and fun were mostly welcome, it was nice to be able to tune it out for bedtime. "

"Super friendly staff, excellent restaurant in the lobby (hubbie couldn’t rave more about the pork cheek dinner), great shower, very comfortable and huge king bed (even by US standards), and the best view of the Parthenon you could ask for - very special!! There are 2 very large outdoor hot tubs as well as an outdoor lounge area, both with the Parthenon view, for all guests to enjoy. "
