Pine cabin / Drk Sky / Wi-Fi / Dog Ok / Quiet

Come on in and enjoy living like a local in this cabin built of locally hewn pine, overlooking a stunning red butte just a short drive from Torrey. Surrounded by rustic farm ambience with very few neighbors, take a stroll down our 7 private acres and have a cup of coffee watching the stream go by. Have a cowboy cookout on the propane 4-burner grill, relax on the deck and watch the stars on Dark View pasture land with no traffic or fireworks nearby.
We allow 1 Dog and no other pets.

10 min drive Torrey
10 min drive restaurants and market
15 min drive Cap Reef Natl Park
23 min drive Sunset Point Torrey

Enjoy peace and quiet in this cozy cabin, with a luxurious king bed, full size tiled shower, and breakfast nook you can transform into a work space and WFH with the excellent Wi-fi. Smart TV in living room has Roku with Live channels for your news in the morning, or log into your favorite apps. Kitchen has gas stove, full size refrigerator, and d/w.

Spend some days exploring Capital Reel - the least crowded of all the nearby national parks. Hike one of the many trails in the area, see Hickman Natural Bridge, or you don’t have to walk far at all to see Native American petroglyphs, and hear your voice in the Echo Wall on the Grand Wash on the Scenic Drive. In the evening take a short drive to Sunset Point and view all the colors of The Land Of Sleeping Rainbows.

Several restaurants nearby in Torrey: Wild Rabbit Cafe, Rock Reef Cafe diner , drive thru coffee kiosk, Hunt and Gather locally sourced fine dining, Mexican restaurants, BBQ, and some great food trucks on certain days. Great gift shops in the area as well.

The property is tucked away from traffic on a well-kept graded dirt road, easy to traverse in any car, and bordered by the Fremont River. The cabin is professionally cleaned after each guest, but be aware in summer there are sometimes small dust flurries that may affect the porch after the cleaners leave. Updates coming in July 2024 include fire pit, hammock, and more.

We enjoyed our stay at this cute and cozy cabin. It was very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. It was relaxing to sit on the porch and look at the beautiful red cliffs. Lovely and quiet and still easy access to town and the park.

Great location, and exactly as advertised. There was also a very friendly calico cat that we got to meet, so that was a plus. Thanks for a great stay.

Peaceful setting with an amazing view! Everything went well. I suggest putting a queen bed in the cabin so there is some room for bedside tables and you don't have to crawl over the end of the bed to get in and out.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. The location is perfect for anyone looking for serenity. We enjoyed the calm, and the view from the deck. The inside is furnished in a way that shows the place is loved. It is very warm and inviting. The kitchen is fully equipped. We found everything we needed to cook.our meals. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in the cabin for a week. It's a great base for exploring Capital Reef. The cabin is quite homey, and comfortable for two people.

The cabin has so much potential! My husband and I stay in VRBO units several times a year and this is perhaps the first one that was slightly disappointing.

Enjoyed our stay. Very remote and quiet. A little chilly when the temps drop into the 20'S. Could use a secondary heat source in the bedroom. Overall, a great place to stay.

We had a great stay!! Good proximity to all the trails we wanted to hike. The cabin was perfect for the two of us. The cat was bonus, we really wanted to know where it belonged since it was super friendly!

Was a nice location with easy access getting to the arches, capitol reef and canyonland. Hiked tons. Never did figure out how to walk over to river. As a veterinarian was drawn to the horses, they are pretty far in the pasture.

Had a great time staying for 2 nights. Had to look for batteries to change the tv remote and wish the outdoor fireplace was closer to the cabin, but no major issues.

The cabin is absolutely beautiful! We spent our days hiking in Capitol Reef National Park and our evenings relaxing on the porch at the cabin. The cabin had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and the shower great. The piece and quite and the night sky were worth the 3 mile drive on gravel roads.

Fell in love with the cat who hung around the whole time . We were sad to leave him, but were assured by the manager that he has a good home.

We loved staying in this very efficient nicely updated cabin. The setting is in a lovely valley. The bed is super comfortable although there is not much maneuvering room around it but we just slid on and off the end of the bed. Great shower, comfortable sitting area, well equipped kitchen, good internet and nice big screen tv. I can see that the bedroom could get chilly in the colder months. I’d read that and we took a small portable space heater with us which was nice to keep the chill out. The night skies are amazing. We would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I used the cabin as a base to fly fish the surrounding mountains, Fremont River and explore Capital Reef. It worked out great for us and was great to come back to in the evening and enjoy the view from the deck. We had our 18 month old Black Lab and she loved it also. It was well equiped and had everything we needed.

My husband and I stayed here to be near Capitol Reef. It is about a 20 minute drive to the national park. The cabin was in a beautiful and private location. The grey cat that lives on the property is absolutely sweet and sassy; she just wants love (and to get let in the house)! Keep in mind fishing is not allowed in the river on the property, but Cody was great with letting us know where we could go to fish.

Cabin is in an awesome location and is very clean and comfortable. The only negative we have is we were so disappointed that the fireplace is non operational. We didn't know until we received the check-in instructions about this. By the picture in the listing we were hoping for a fireplace to sit in front of on the 20 degree Torrey nights.

My husband and I stayed here w/our 10 and 11yo boys. The location was secluded and quiet, just a 10 minute drive on a gravel road to the main street in town. There were excellent views of the stars at night and my boys were thrilled with the very friendly local cat that stopped by. The cabin was cozy and very well-equipped. The bed was probably the most comfortable I've slept on in a rental (although my boys did complain about the pull-out couch) and you could tell a lot of thought had gone into maximizing the space. The property manager was very responsive and checking in/out was easy. If you're looking for a fun day activity we highly recommend the horse-back riding tours w/Wilderness Ridge Adventures.

This was a lovely spot, but the cabin seemed neglected and was dirty and felt unloved. The owner neglected to tell us the heat didn't work and we didn't discover an alternate heat source until the 2nd day. the location was perfect, but the cabin needs love.
