"We stayed in Treetops at the Abri Apartments for five nights towards the end of a six week trip to NZ and it was ideal. Set back from the main drag with views out across the water to Russell and an apartment with just about everything you could want set in lovely gardens. Helen was a great host and our stay was really relaxed. If you’re going to Paihia (and it makes a great base for the Bay of Islands) then book this early and enjoy the time there even more. "

"The view of the harbor from the 2nd story porch was very picturesque - the noise from the boats or the ferry never bothered us. There was a general store nearby for some supplies, but most shopping required a bigger store. The location was near enough to Paihia for restaurants when we didn't feel like cooking.
