OK, I guess you get what you pay for, and we didn't pay that much. On the other hand, after a night in a caravan at this place, we should have been paid a reward for surviving a feat of endurance. The caravan, a retro 1970s model, could have been fab. Unfortunately, it looked as though it had never received an ounce of TLC in all its long life. Veneer was peeling where damp had ingressed; a cupboard door fell off when I attempted to open it; the carpet was grubby; there was dirty crockery in the sink; there were empty bean tins in the cupboard under it and the place as a whole felt unclean; Worst of all, the flies; and at night the biting things. It was unbelievably hot (no fan provided) but opened windows invited all and sundry within. I have never experienced such an uncomfortable night in paid for accommodation. The shared washroom was just about ok, but not regularly cleaned; the communal kitchen was fine. It's a pity the accommodation was so terrible - the holiday park occupies a beautiful spot.
