  • This was taken at the Kea Point lookout at Mt Cook National Park. It was an easy trek and the view was phenomenal. We got there just as the sun was about to go behind the mountains so I was glad that I could capture what was left of the light on those snow-capped peaks. The giant mountain there is Mt Wakefield and just to the left of it is Mt Cook, nearly fully covered by those stubborn clouds. The Muller Glacier down the bottom definitely gave the image a good colour contrast as well.

A comfortable, modern home in beautiful Te Anau. The beds were firm but comfortable and made up with commercially laundered linen. The lounge furniture was very comfortable. The town is set by the lake with mountains on the opposite side and in the distance all around. We were treated to a number of spectacular rainbows.

Pleasant stay

A nice house, fairly new and fresh. Reasonably equipped kitchen. More information on how to work the tv system would have been handy. An easy walk to the lake front but far enough away from hustle and bustle of town centre. Sadly the lawns had not been mown which did make it look a little untidy outside. Spouting overflows in the rain. East side of house and west side.
