While I don't know much about architecture, I believe that this building is one of the few and dwindling examples of Art Nouveau architecture that remain in Tbilisi. The top of this building features a date of 1912, and there's a number of frescoes and interesting masonry work on the outside. The building literally looks like it is rusting away. Well liked for its museums and churches, mtatsminda is worth a visit. Check out the variety of things to see and do like Rustaveli Avenue and Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre, and jump on the metro at Tbilisi Funicular to get around the city.

The Lado Tevdoradze Art Gallery in Old Tbilisi. This small gallery is run by the wife of Lado Tevdoradze, it features a number of paintings of traditional Georgian life - most of the paintings are humorous. This gallery is well worth a visit if you're in Old Town - it's not easy to spot. It's located on a side street with construction at the end - it's close to a nightclub called KGB.
