A lovely traditional Portuguese house

A fantastic find, right near the beach (only 1.5€ per adult return fare for 2 Minuit water taxi ride) shops, cafe’s, bars and local restaurants but soooo quiet. Amazing roof terraces. Comfortable beds and everything you need for a perfect stay.

Lovely taste of Portugal

Had a lovely stay in Cabanas in this traditional Portuguese house in a small town. Everything was within walking distance. Close to the boardwalk and ferry across Ria Formosa lagoon to the beach. Two wonderful terraces. Nicely decorated with artistic touches. We had a few issues that required us to contact the owner who responded immediately. Would recommend to others!

Cabanas house

Overall I was satisfied with the house , place was well furnished , location was great and plenty of restaurants nearby ( I’d say Dunas was my favourite). My only gripe was the extra slim beds ( all four the same)…I’m 5’ 11” ( 180 lbs) and couldn’t feel comfortable sleeping in those beds. It’s time to get at least a queen size bed to attain a perfect score.

Great stay

I highly recommend this property and this host. It is an idyllic location, the house is full of charm and really lovely neighbourhood. Excellent local restaurants, especially fish restaurants, and lovely fresh fruit, vegetable and fish market daily. It's the perfect spot for those who love the sea. Our host, José, was really helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

Super charming house

This house in Cabanas de Tavita is verden charming. The rooftop terrassen with view to Rolfs, the blue sky, the water og the willows, the outdoor bath, which was the only one we used, everything is nearby. We can only recommend it.

Beautiful traditional Portugese property

Our stay was perfect from the moment we arrived and were met by Maria and Jose. They talked us through everything we needed to know, and they were only a phone call away for any problems which may arise, which was reassuring, but of course there were no problems. The roof terrace is a really beautiful place to relax and on the evening a lovely place to sit, drink and take in the stars. Will certainly recommend it to family and friends.

A lovely house in the heart of Cabanas

A house with rustic charm in the heart of Cabanas. Communication with the owner Jose was quick and easy and he answered the numerous questions promptly. Jose picked us up from the bus stop and showed us round the property and gave us the information required to make our stay comfortable. The house was well equipped and fulfilled all the requirements of a holiday let. We spent most of our time in the private terrace which was ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine. The hose is close to all amenities including public transport, numerous restaurants (Coral and Ideal were our favourites), the beach and shopping. We had a lovely two weeks staying in Cabanas and will return in the future. Thank You Jose! Alison & Ray Fernando

Nice place but with cockroaches

Nices rooms, good location directly behind the boardwalk, excellent rooftop solarium.The problem here is the fact that it is a quite old house, almost no ventilation so it gets moisture issues ( and therefore mold on several places like the kitchen area and bathroom )We had booked the place for 10 nights but we left 4 days before since we were confronted with cockroaches in the kitchen area / fridge. This was too much for us.The contacted the owner and het came with a story about a wet spring in Portugal but nothing about the cockroaches.

Boas condições gerais da casa, está decorada com bom gosto e criatividade, resultando num ambiente acolhedor. O ar condicionado é uma mais-valia, assim como o duche exterior e terraço da casa. Existe possibilidade de fazer grelhados. Wir haben 6 sehr schöne Wochen in diesem Objekt verbracht und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Uns stand alles zur Verfügung was wir benötigt haben.Die Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen, alles ist fussläufig zu erreichen, die Anwohner sehr nett und freundlichen.Mit PKW sind auch die umliegenden Ortschaften in Kürze zu erreichen. So wird es auch möglich all diese schönen Strände in der Umgebung zu erkunden.Jose hat uns bei der Ankunft vor Ort empfangen und uns alles gezeigt und erläutert. Bei Rückfragen und Problemen war er jederzeit erreichbar und erschien vor Ort um für Abhilfe zu sorgen. Wir wussten das sehr zu schätzen.Leider ließ die Sauberkeit der Wohnung zu wünschen übrig sodass wir uns selbst darum gekümmert haben. In 6 Wochen haben wir auch festgestellt, dass so das eine oder andere repariert werden müsste. Beispielsweise war die Tür zur oberen Terrasse undicht, bei einem starken Regen stand der ganze Vorraum unter Wasser. Wir wussten uns zu helfen und waren fortan gewappnet.Auch sind uns in der Küche 2 Kakalaken begegnet. Wenn kein Müll und Essensreste gelagert werden kommt man damit klar.Wünschenswert wäre, dass diese alte Immobilie erhalten werden kann indem si regelmäßig gepflegt wird.Wir sagen Danke für 6 sehr schöne Wochen im Januar/Februar

Toller Urlaub!

Wir haben die Tage sehr genießen können! Die Wohnung ist wirklich toll gelegen und die Nähe zum kleinen Bootanleger, der uns zum Strand gebracht hat, war besonders mit kleinem Kind einfach perfekt! Die Außendusche ist wirklich ein Highlight!

Idéalement placé et propre

Cet hébergement est parfaitement placé. À 5 min à pied d’une supérette SPAR, 10 min de la plage. Il faut prendre un petit bateau à 1€50 l’aller retour pour aller à la plage et la traversée prend 5 min. Le logement est impeccable et on peut profiter des terrasses surtout le matin et en soirée. Nous avons bien profité du barbecue. Merci José et à bientôt !

Rustikal, ortstypisch und zentral. Zum wohlfühlen.

Ein ursprüngliches portugiesisches Haus in zentraler Lage in Cabanas. Von hier aus sind der Strand, die Restaurants und Geschäfte schnell fussläufig erreichbar. Das Haus hat eine schöne typisch portugiesische Dachterrasse, die zum verweilen einlädt. Auch die Aussendusche hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Haus ist rustikal und ortstypisch, daher ist nicht alles klinisch rein. Wer das weiss, wir sich sehr wohl fühlen.
