Bay Front Home With Magnificent Views
Located in Islamorada, the fishing capital of the world, this house is tucked away in a quite neighborhood on the bay side. The backyard consists of a private beach, tiki hut, an outdoor kitchen with a cook top, oven and gas bbq. In addition to the bar seating there is a full sized out door dining room table and outdoor living room set up for watching the game on the big screen. The house has a private pier with magnificent views of the Florida bay. There is ample room and depth to dock several boats in case you have any company. You will experience beautiful sunsets right off the end of the dock with a nice cool ocean breeze. During the day grab a rod and reel and toss in a line right off the dock, or jump in and grab a lobster nestled in the rocks below. If the surf is too much for you to handle you can test your skills on the putting green or hit the famous Tiki Bar, Marker 88 or the Lorelei Restaurant & Cabana Bar. Fantastic restaurants and bars abound, guaranteed not to disappoint. The house comes equipped with high speed Internet accessible throughout the house along with cable and HDTV. All the TV's are smart TV's so you can access your favorite streaming channels as well. All the bathrooms have been recently updated. The master bedroom is furnished with a king size bed and it has a big walk in closet and a master bath with a separate powder room. The upstairs guest room is made up of two twin beds. In the living room and family room there are plenty of couches just in case the sleeping quarters get too cramped. Just outside the living room and dining room there is a great screened in porch for relaxing and reading. There is a nice deck outside the screened in porch running the length of the house for catching some rays. Downstairs you will find a private 1 bedroom suite with a queen bed and a daybed with a trundle along with its own private bathroom. Just outside the suite is a fresh out door shower, Tiki hut, and full outdoor kitchen and living area so you can fire up the catch of the day. VR011PA130139 DWE5403586

We enjoyed the house and it's location! Sunsets were to die for! The set up outside was amazing. The only thing that would have made it a 10/10 would have been if our dog could have been with us but otherwise this was a great place to stay!
This was our second family Thanksgiving at this property. It is an ideal place to relax, recreate, enjoy the beauty of the Keys, and to enjoy the many opportunities available on the Keys such as snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, swimming with the dolphins, visiting Key West to name a few. Grant is a very responsive host.
Pictures don’t do this place justice! We absolutely loved the outdoor spaces and only went inside to sleep and shower…but even showers were sometimes outside in the great outdoor shower! The kids loved snorkeling, fishing, and exploring the beach. We rented kayaks on our last day and that was a hit, too. The views and privacy are phenomenal and the outdoor kitchen/tv area was our absolute favorite.
We saw nurse sharks, sting rays, harmless jellyfish, parrotfish, crabs, angelfish, and so much more!!
The only issue we had was that the washing machine didn’t work. I reached out to the property manager multiple times through text and VRBO messaging and never heard back. It is rare to not hear a peep from a manager, so I’m not sure the phone number is accurate. It may just need to be updated but our issue wasn’t a major one, so no worries.
The house has everything you could possibly need with plenty of room for large families. My in laws enjoyed the downstairs suite that walks right out to the dock and beach area. It is separate from the main house which worked fine for us but could be helpful to know for families.
We can’t recommend this house enough and will definitely stay there again if we are back in the Tavenier/Islamorada area!
Stayed here with family for a week and enjoyed every second of it. Great location to central to many local attractions. The property itself is amazing with all it offers. Owner was a pleasure to deal with. Beautiful sunsets and multiple places to have fun and relax. We plan to stay again!!!
We came for the third year in a row and had another week of great memories enabled by a home that has so much to offer in a location that provides some of the best sunsets you will ever see. Thanks Grant for offering you house as a VRBO - we have memories that will last a lifetime!
This was our 2nd time staying at the property and we are planning on coming back again next year. The property is perfect for families with kids as you can swim and snorkel right off the back yard.
This was a family trip, with grandparents, parents, and two teenagers. The house was perfect for us. It had everything we needed. We rented a boat and loved spending time on the water and relaxing on the dock. The teens especially liked the paddle boards. The house is nicely furnished and ideally located.

FOURTH YEAR RENTING HERE
This was our 4th year renting here. Each year just gets better. Grant put in lots of upgrades since last year. Great location and lots more places deliver now.
We didn’t leave the house very much. The outdoor kitchen area is amazing! The fishing is good off the dock, there’s a friendly family of manatees that come around, crabs, lobsters etc. My husband caught a string ray…he had a fight to get him in.
This place was just like all the other reviewers stated. Beautiful views, quiet location. The downstairs ‘in-law’ apartment was not connected to the main house, this wasn’t a problem for us but it may be an issue for families with small kids.
Great house, grounds & dock for us 3 guys and our rented boat. The pictures are good but it is even nicer than that. Very handy location too. Private but everything within 5 minutes.
We had a little problem with the A/C and Grant did everything humanly possible to make it right.
Stayed here a year ago and loved it so much we came back again this year. There were substantial improvements made to the property which made it even better, especially with the outdoor kitchen, bar, tv. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and is close to everything you need. We rented a boat this time and loved the floating dock which we were able to tie up to for the week. Great snorkeling, fishing, and paddleboarding location. You won't be disappointed in this property. Thank you Grant!

Awesome weekend.
Eight of us stayed in the house for a long weekend, and had an amazing time. The property was spacious, in good condition, and had pretty much everything we needed. We spent a lot of time on the dock catching (small) fish, relaxing with a few beers and enjoying the spectacular views. We put the large charcoal grill downstairs to good use and spent the evenings on the covered patio upstairs.
The owner was extremely responsive to any issues we had. When we discovered the downstairs bathroom and air conditioning were not working, and he had a plumber there within an hour, plus two repairmen to completely replace the AC later that day.
Overall, it was an awesome weekend that we’ll remember for a long time.

Enjoyable home with great dock and deck for relaxation!
We had a great mini family reunion, with our son(and his wife) and our daughter(with her boyfriend) meeting us in Fort Lauderdale, and then we all drove down to Islamadra together. The house was clean, loved all the fishing pictures, and the layout was perfect for us. It is a fun house. Our favorite was the dock, as we spent every night on the dock from 8 till 10-11pm. Great place to talk, drink some beer/wine, do some fishing, and look for marine life. We had multiple nurse sharks visits, schools of parrot fish, some monster redfish, tons of snappers, some small baracudas, one large octopus, and we had a huge manatee spend 30 min with us on sunday night when we were right at high tide!!! Everyone enjoyed watching the sunset, looking out at the bay, etc. We would definately come back. Logistics were simple and the house is well organized for renters.
House is centrally located for restaurants, marinas, etc.

Hidden gem
We stayed here with family friends for Christmas (8 of us). It was absolutely wonderful. I hate to praise it so much because I would love to keep it a secret. Grant was great to work with and always promptly responded to any of my questions. The location is off of the main road in a quiet neighborhood so you felt that you were in your own paradise. The draw is of course the waterfront. We spent ALOT of time snorkeling off of the pier. We saw sting rays and even got close to some small nurse sharks. Another person commented that it was like an aquarium and it was true. We saw more fish here than on a snorkeling tour that we took. I know I always appreciate reading honest reviews. It really deserves 5 stars because of its location, the pier and its cleanliness. Some small improvements would make it a 5+: a better shower head in the separate bedroom suite and longer stock of hand soap and toilet paper. Not really a big deal. We picked up these supplies at the local store, but just something to be mindful of. One thing to know that at high season (which this was) it was very difficult to turn onto HWY 1. Just a FYI. Again, these are minor things and in no way detracted from our experience.
Our family of 4 couldn't have been more satisfied. There was room for at least 4 more people, 40 if you wanted to host a party. The house is better than the description. The appliances are new, countertops are granite, showers are amazing, A/C works very well (smart thermostat) and the home is fully stocked with brand name everything from toilet paper to laundry detergent to spices. There is a charcoal grill and a 3 burner Weber gas grill. When we arrived there was a partial tank of propane and an empty one. We grilled several times and there was still propane in the original tank. We replaced the empty one so the next group to enjoy this property wouldn't have to worry about propane. The owners have placed rocks and large diameter PVC under the end of the dock which provides a great place for lobsters, crabs, and fish to live. A night light provides a true aquarium experience. Even during the day while snorkeling there is an abundance of marine life to see. There are 2 sups and an inflatable kayak and several fishing poles available. The outdoor lighting at night is awesome and the sunset views from the dock are picture perfect. A crew of 3 came thru Monday morning to blow the leaves off the astro turf and rake the beach area. The neighborhood is quiet and the walkers we encountered were friendly. This is truely a wonderful place to stay while exploring the Keys. Thank you Grant!

Great getaway in the Keys
This bay front home definitely did not disappoint. It was well appointed and had beautiful updates in the private suite downstairs and the bathrooms. The screened in porch was a wonderful touch as it can get a buggy in the Keys. The private dock is a great feature. There are numerous rock lobsters right next to the dock and if you have water shoes (with hard soles) you could definitely catch dinner without having to venture far. The location of this home is great as it is tucked away from main highway and in a mainly residential neighborhood that is not touristy. There are several restaurants nearby that are convenient to the house. Also nearby is a lot of water based activities. Snorkeling, boating, water sports, etc.; are all within a few miles from the house. The best part was that we were there during Spring Break week and we didn't see one drunken college student anywhere near the house. That is an absolute positive! If I wanted typical spring break, I would have gone to Key West (which was about an hour and a half away with the current construction on the highway).
I wouldn't detract anything from this property, but there are some things you may need to get used to if renting here. The downstairs suite is not connected to the main living area upstairs. You have to go outside to enter the suite. Also, the main bathroom has a large plate glass window looking into it from the outside. A little disconcerting until we realized we could engage the storm shutters and fix the potential voyeur problem and make the bathroom private. As I said, I would not call these detractors, just quirks. All houses have them, and it is what makes them memorable!
I would recommend anyone looking to have a nice, quiet getaway to the warm confines of the Florida Keys to rent this property.
This home is set up for great ocean fun and entertaining. The home is in good condition. The host, Grant, is superb. He will do whatever it takes to make sure your stay is a great one.
