Situated at the entrance of the old town. Superb breakfast reasonably priced. Dining at the hotel restaurant was a fine experience after the long day's trip.

Hotel very convenient for sightseeing and in quiet location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included and there was a good range of buffet options.

The dining options within a a few blocks radius was limited. You needed to walk a bit in order to have options. The hotel itself was fine, the rooms a bit small for an upgraded room, but clean with a helpful staff.

Staff were polite and helpful. The hotel was clean. Close enough to centre of Sienna but others probably more central. Biigest issue was the initial room was like a mini prison cell and at.the price.paid against.others in the locality disappointing. We paid for an upgrade. This meant that the cost at this time of of year was above market and left.us feeling better value would have been an alternative hotel.

Dear Tom,thank you for your appreciation of our hotel. Regarding to our restaurant service, we find it very difficult to attribute the cause of your ill health to our food and drink, as regular and very strict checks are carried out to ensure that the rules on the serving of food are adhered to in every detail. This is proven by the fact that all the guests who used the breakfast and dinner service like YOU are fine and no one has shown any discomfort.

Excellent location for the Duomo, which is spectacular. Found easily with our map program and after we offloaded our bags, they parked the care for us. The next time we needed the car, they gave us the keys and told us where it was and we easily retrieved it. No problems! The breakfast was delicious, the room good size, the bed comfortable providing good sleep. Nice walk in shower! The staff were busy but friendly and willingly answered all our questions. I highly recommend hotel Athena!

Unwelcoming Check-In: The check-in experience was marred by the unfriendly and discourteous behavior of the reception staff. Dog Policy Communication: The hotel's policy regarding dogs was conveyed in a less-than-professional manner. When asked about a doctor, I was suggested to go to the emergency room. I found my own private doctor online for a minor infection that did not require emergency service. Room Upgrade Needed: There is black mold on the bathtub seals, negatively impacting overall cleanliness and comfort. Front Desk Assistance: The front desk staff exhibited a lack of responsiveness and warmth, offering unhelpful advice when asked for assistance. They did not proactively provide help with luggage, and we were not informed about the availability of an elevator from the garage; as a result, we had to carry our luggage up the stairs, and they simply watched. Value Perception: The overall experience did not align with the expected value for the money spent. Suggestions for Improvement: Implement comprehensive training for concierge staff to enhance professionalism and guest satisfaction at the front desk. Consider cross-training front desk staff with housekeeping or breakfast service personnel, known for their courtesy and guest-oriented approach. When guests inquire about a doctor, provide a more suitable response than suggesting the emergency room, offering guidance or recommendations for non-emergency medical issues.

Excellent stay, well positioned hotel. We had a deluxe room with amazing view of the duomo and countryside. Special mention for friendly reception staff who were very helpful.

Modern hotel near one of the city gates in Siena, the Athena is a small walk to the center which made it quiet at night while still on a main road. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was expansive and delicious. Our experience was excellent. We have no complaints but only high praise. Had a most pleasant dinner (reasonable prices) on the rooftop terrace on our last night and enjoyed views of the countryside and the city walls under the starlight. A lovely hotel in a city we came to prefer to Florence, which is saying a lot!

Loved this hotel! Very very clean, conveniently not to far from the attractions, and had free parking for our car rental. The staff was also ver welcoming and friendly. The breakfast & dinner was also very good. 10/10
