Relax in the Papamoa countryside at our Farmstay retreat!
Perfect for a family farm adventure or a relaxing couples escape, this is the place to escape life's hustle and bustle. Make yourself a coffee and relax in the hammock with a good book, while the kids play on the trampoline or hang out with the friendly pet farm animals.

Enjoy its magical location, set on 17 acres of farmland and regenerating bush but only a 7-minute drive from beautiful surf beaches and 5 to 10 minutes to great cafes and shops. 50 minutes from Rotorua with its geothermal wonderland, bubbling mud, beautiful lakes & fantastic mountain biking in the Redwood Forest.
Venture out your front door and explore the beautiful Papamoa Hills regional park with its Maori Pa sites, beautiful walks & views, right beside you!

Meet our pet sheep Larry & Emily, Mara & Wednesday (our pet goats) & Piglet & Rosie (our pet jersey cows). Our sheep will be lambing in spring & we have two Flemish giant rabbits called Ivy & Mr Chips that love being hand fed and are super friendly! All of our animals were hand-raised from babies and think of people as family. We frequently have guests surprised at just how friendly they are - the pet goats in particular will follow you around the paddock just like a dog would!

The Papamoa Hills recreational park has a series of historic Maori Pa sites along with a variety of fantastic & at times, strenuous, walks (or runs for fitness buffs), culminating in beautiful views of the Mount and Papamoa - spectacular at sunrise and sunset. In addition, a 10 minute drive away is the Summer Hills Golf course, for golf enthusiasts

End the day with a spectacular sunset walk under endless stars up the Papamoa Hills walk or relax with a nice glass of wine and a cosy fire indoors.

After a great night’s sleep, collect fresh eggs from the friendly chickens in our citrus orchard, while the kids have a great time on the big tree swing and trampoline!

Outside you have plenty of space to roam, run or relax. We have a football field out front for the kids to run wild, & our home creation, 'gummy-ball' which is great for a family competition. There is a large tree swing in the neighbouring paddock, where our friendly cows look forward to having their chin scratched.

The space
Our Farmstay is a 60m2 dwelling set well off the road with private parking. It is ideal for a family of 4-5 (2 adults, 3 children) or for 3 - 4 adults.

Inside, everything has been designed with your comfort in mind, with super comfortable new beds, pillows, mattresses, along with black out curtains and No traffic noise! It boasts a fully functional kitchen with the essentials for cooking and baking and a large fridge freezer for you to stock up. There is an oven and hob, sunbeam coffee machine, a dishwasher and a washing machine.
In addition to a full-sized Smart TV with Netflix provided, there is a Bluetooth soundbar for playing music. Internet is also provided.

The apartment is double glazed and fully insulated, with air conditioning and insect screens to keep it cool in summer and a wood-burning fireplace and heat pump to keep it warm and cosy in winter.

Free-range eggs (when available), milk, tea, herbal teas, coffee, hot chocolate are provided, along with spices, sauces, and baking essentials.

Guest access
The entire dwelling is for your private use, although the pet farm animals, trampoline and tree swing are shared with guests in other smaller accommodation, Brightside Pod living. The two accommodation options are both very private, with their own outdoor space.

The apartment is attached but “separated” from our small farm warehouse/office, where our business is located. This is only staffed during normal working hours with a total of 4 staff on-site.
