We didn’t like the fact that the water pressure and the temperature of water drastically dropped while showering or when using the sink. And it took a while to return to normal flow with expected temperature.

We were able to check in early and the room was great. Well appointed and clean. The parking is tight but not terrible. The restaurant next door is a bonus and well worth a visit.

We arrived after dark so can't give a comprehensive review. We just needed beds and they were comfortable. A full length mirror other than the one in the bathroom corner would have been welcome.

Loved that it was ten minutes walk to township where you could access everything. Property clean and tidy. Though room has kitchenette there was no sink and washing up had to be done in bathroom sink. Great property if you want to just rest and be close to town and eat out. Great that it has a restaurant at front so you can walk from your room to eat.

I missed the check in hours but the manager lives onsite so came right out and gave me my key. There’s a restaurant next door that was open late which was very convenient. Room was very clean and seemed like it had been recently repainted and recarpeted.

The manager was very helpful when we explain to him they would not let us bring our car and jet ski down to the motel he went out of his way and came up with us and got our car and jet skis with us he said they had no right to do that to us and they just didn't know what was happening around Taupo although it directing traffic

I didn’t like the mess around the steps leading up stairs to our unit. The motel is connected on to the back of a hotel/restaurant. I also thought the shower floor was dangerous as when wet was very slippery. I had to wear jandals on my feet when showering

Very nice motel, new bathroom and renovated room with a small kitchen. Though even easier to pop into the pub next door for dinner 😊 Friendly welcome and all round pleasant stay.

Although the unit was clean and tidy there were limited facilities: e.g. no stove elements or saucepans to cook breakfast and didn't enjoy having to wash dishes in the bathroom sink. I also found the steps up to the unit a bit dangerous and I cut my heel on one of the steps when coming down. A stand to put suitcases on would be good and some hangers in the wardrobe. Otherwise all ok thanks for the opportunity to stay at Twin Peaks, Taupo.

I had thought there was an in house restaurant, which there wasn't. The pub next door was alright, but very noisy and not what I was expecting for an in house restaurant, and there was no breakfast available.

Rest and Rejuvenation
Very friendly greeting on arrival and guided to my unit. Unit clean and tidy. Good pressure shower over bath. Bath could do with a hand rail to assist with getting in and out. Kitchen well equipped and all electrical appliances are in good working order. Had a slight hiccup with sky/television as it appeared the last guest had altered some settings. Duty manager tried to rectify it but had to leave it for a technician the next morning. She was also willing to move me into the next free unit if the problem wasn't solved. Problem was solved and received a few text messages from duty manager to check that it was still functioning. Cleaning staff all friendly and positive. I had five days at the unit and found it very relaxing and peaceful.

Immaculately clean had everything we needed pub with excellent dining right beside it but no noise extremely quiet . 2 minute walk to the lake for a lovely cooling paddle watching the swimmers . We will stay here again . Thank you

Cleanliness could be much better to be honest for the price you pay. The room needs a bit of maintenance. Otherwise it was great with amazing views of Lake Taupō from the upstairs level. Everything is within a great walking and driving distance. Front desk assistance was satisfactory.

$360 per night is price gouging at it's absolute worst. The room we were given is not normally available and that is probably why it was of such a low standard and so noisy being close to the road. We had to be in Taupō at this time so had not choice but to pay this amount. When we next choose to stay it will definitely not be at Twin Peaks.

Great, comfortable stay with friendly staff
The Twin Peaks Lakeside Inn was a surprise. From the outside, you would expect a standard motel. But stepping in, you’ll find a really comfortable, modern room with all the amenities. I was only here for 10 hours but I would have extended my stay at this spot if possible. If you’re coming to Taupō, you should stay at the Twin Peaks!

The stay was good however the service provided was not so great… we were 4 adults and they only gave one wash gel - a very small bottle. We requested for another and they said they only provide one per room…the bottle was extremely small and we had to shower afternoon and morning. The room inside had no mirror and difficult for 4 adults to stay comfortably.

Waterfront motel with lovely view.
Lovely waterfront motel. The entire wall is glass so be prepared to keep curtains closed. Can walk across street to watch sunset over lake. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. The shower and toilet are one room (no walls) so we had to remember to put toilet paper out. Overall nice stay albeit pricey but it’s a popular town.
