Hosts provided an excellent breakfast and great recommendations for hiking and touring the Taupo area. Reminded us how nice VRBO's can be - picture perfect.

Great views but disappointing for the money

Pros - a great view, very good and helpful communication with Cheryl, clean, provisioned ok, convenient location away from the bustle of Taupo. Cons -varying degrees of traffic noise throughout the day, security camera on deck feeling watched whenever we were outside, accommodation is not stand alone ie part of the main house that has an internal connecting door into the family home which is not locked, furniture placement does not evoke a comfortable place to relax or to enjoy the view, interior purple decor is questionable, a washing machine would be useful. Overall disappointing, for the money we paid when compared to the many other properties we have stayed at in NZ. With a more open description and a few alterations it could be really great.
